عقد مجلس إدارة الاتحاد السعودي لرفع الأثقال، اجتماعه الدوري بمقر الاتحاد في الرياض، برئاسة رئيس مجلس الإدارة محمد الحربي، وبحضور أعضاء المجلس، وذلك في مستهل أعمال الدورة الأولمبية الجديدة 2024 - 2028.
وثمن رئيس الاتحاد في مستهل الاجتماع الدعم الذي يحظى به الاتحاد وعموم القطاع الرياضي من القيادة الرشيدة، والمتابعة المستمرة من رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي بن فيصل، ونائبه الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن عبدالعزيز، مشيرًا إلى أن هذا الدعم يشكّل دافعًا كبيرًا لمواصلة تحقيق الإنجازات وتطوير العمل المؤسسي داخل الاتحاد.
وجرى خلال الاجتماع استعراض التقرير المالي للنصف الأول من العام، ومناقشة التقارير النصفية ذات الصلة بالأداء الفني والإداري، إلى جانب استعراض إستراتيجية الاتحاد والبرنامج الزمني للأنشطة الرياضية على المستويين المحلي والدولي.
وأقر المجلس تشكيل العديد من اللجان المتخصصة، من أبرزها لجنة المرأة برئاسة عضو المجلس المهندسة الرباب الحي، واعتماد لجنة الحوكمة؛ بهدف تعزيز الالتزام بالإجراءات التنظيمية وتطبيق أعلى معايير الشفافية والحوكمة داخل الاتحاد.

The Board of Directors of the Saudi Weightlifting Federation held its regular meeting at the federation's headquarters in Riyadh, chaired by the Chairman of the Board, Mohammed Al-Harbi, and attended by the board members, at the beginning of the new Olympic cycle 2024 - 2028.
The Chairman of the Federation praised, at the start of the meeting, the support received by the federation and the entire sports sector from the wise leadership, and the continuous follow-up from the President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, and his deputy, Prince Fahd bin Jiluwi bin Abdulaziz, noting that this support serves as a significant motivation to continue achieving accomplishments and developing institutional work within the federation.
During the meeting, the financial report for the first half of the year was reviewed, along with discussions on the related semi-annual reports concerning technical and administrative performance, in addition to reviewing the federation's strategy and the timeline for sports activities at both local and international levels.
The council approved the formation of several specialized committees, most notably the Women's Committee chaired by board member Engineer Rabab Al-Hai, and the establishment of a Governance Committee aimed at enhancing compliance with regulatory procedures and applying the highest standards of transparency and governance within the federation.
