اختتم الاتحاد السعودي للأولمبياد الخاص بالتعاون مع وزارة التعليم، مشروع «أبطال الرياضة المدرسية»، الذي نُفذ خلال الفترة من 13 أبريل إلى 22 مايو 2025، مستهدفاً تمكين طلاب وطالبات معاهد ومدارس التربية الخاصة في منطقتَي تبوك وعسير.
وشهد المشروع مشاركة 429 طالباً وطالبة بإشراف 51 معلماً ومعلمة في 34 مدرسة موزعة على المنطقتين، واشتملت أنشطته على تدريبات تخصصية في رياضتَي كرة القدم وكرة اليد، بإشراف من المعلمين والمعلمات داخل المدارس.
وعبّر الرئيس التنفيذي للاتحاد السعودي للأولمبياد الخاص عبدالرحمن بن أحمد القريشي عن فخره بهذه الشراكة المثمرة، التي تجسّدت من خلال تنفيذ مشروع نوعي يعكس مفهوم الرياضة الشاملة داخل البيئة التعليمية، ويتواءم مع احتياجات طلاب وطالبات التربية الخاصة في مختلف المراحل الدراسية، مقدماً شكره لمنسوبي ومنسوبات وزارة التعليم الذين آمنوا بأهمية المشروع، وأسهموا في إنجاحه رغم التحديات.
يذكر أن مشروع أبطال الرياضة المدرسية يعد خطوة متقدمة ضمن سلسلة من المبادرات النوعية التي يقودها الاتحاد لبناء مجتمع رياضي صحي وشامل؛ مما يسهم في توسيع قاعدة اللاعبين المنضمين بالحركة الأولمبية الخاصة في المملكة.
ويمضي الاتحاد في تطوير برامج رياضية قابلة للتوسع، تُسهم في تمكين الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية والنمائية، انسجاماً مع رؤية المملكة 2030 نحو جودة حياة أفضل، وتكافؤ الفرص، ومجتمع أكثر شمولاً.

The Saudi Special Olympics Federation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, concluded the "School Sports Champions" project, which was implemented from April 13 to May 22, 2025, aiming to empower students of special education institutes and schools in the regions of Tabuk and Asir.
The project witnessed the participation of 429 male and female students under the supervision of 51 male and female teachers in 34 schools distributed across the two regions. Its activities included specialized training in football and handball, supervised by teachers within the schools.
The CEO of the Saudi Special Olympics Federation, Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Quraishi, expressed his pride in this fruitful partnership, which was embodied through the implementation of a qualitative project that reflects the concept of inclusive sports within the educational environment and aligns with the needs of special education students at various educational stages. He extended his gratitude to the staff of the Ministry of Education who believed in the importance of the project and contributed to its success despite the challenges.
It is worth mentioning that the School Sports Champions project is an advanced step within a series of qualitative initiatives led by the federation to build a healthy and inclusive sports community, which contributes to expanding the base of athletes joining the Special Olympics movement in the Kingdom.
The federation continues to develop scalable sports programs that contribute to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 towards a better quality of life, equal opportunities, and a more inclusive society.
