في أنقرة التركية، أوقفت الشرطة امرأة خطيرة تُدعى شريفة يلماز بعد أن نفذت سلسلة احتيالات مذهلة، خدعت خلالها ضحاياها بانتحال هويات غير متوقعة: ضابطة مخابرات، وممثلة، ودبلوماسية، مستغلة صورًا مفبركة بالذكاء الاصطناعي لتضليل الضحايا وجمع الأموال منهم.
قدمت شريفة نفسها في أوقات مختلفة كعضوة في جهاز المخابرات الوطني التركي (MIT)، أو ممثلة لـ«حلف الناتو» و«الأمم المتحدة»، أو حتى دبلوماسية أمريكية حديثة العودة. هذا التنقل بين الهويات منحها القدرة على خداع فئات متنوعة، من فلاحين وأصحاب مطاعم إلى سياسيين ومسؤولين كبار.
وبدأت شريفة يلماز بخداع الضحايا البسطاء مثل الفلاحين وتجار الخضار وسائقي سيارات الأجرة، ثم توسعت لتستغل ضحايا زلزال تركيا 2023 الباحثين عن تعويضات حكومية. وساهم اعتمادها على الذكاء الاصطناعي لتزييف الصور في جعل الضحايا يصدقون قصتها بسهولة، فحتى الشخصيات رفيعة المستوى لم يكتشفوا خداعها.
ولم تكتفِ بالاحتيال المالي، بل هددت شريفة يلماز من رفضوا التعاون بنقلهم أو الإضرار بمناصبهم، مدعية أنها تمتلك علاقات رفيعة المستوى. وجعلها هذا الأسلوب واحدة من أخطر المحتالات في تركيا في السنوات الأخيرة.
لكن مسرحية الاحتيال انتهت بالقبض على شريفة يلماز وإحالتها للمحاكمة، وسط تداول واسع لصورها المتعددة والهويات المزيفة التي استخدمتها لخداع الضحايا.
In Turkish Ankara, the police arrested a dangerous woman named Sharifa Yilmaz after she carried out a series of astonishing frauds, during which she deceived her victims by impersonating unexpected identities: an intelligence officer, an actress, and a diplomat, exploiting AI-generated images to mislead the victims and collect money from them.
Sharifa presented herself at different times as a member of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), a representative of "NATO" and the "United Nations," or even a recently returned American diplomat. This shifting between identities allowed her to deceive a diverse range of people, from farmers and restaurant owners to politicians and high-ranking officials.
Sharifa Yilmaz began by deceiving simple victims such as farmers, vegetable traders, and taxi drivers, then expanded to exploit victims of the 2023 Turkey earthquake who were seeking government compensation. Her reliance on AI to forge images made it easy for the victims to believe her story, as even high-profile individuals did not uncover her deception.
Not content with financial fraud, Sharifa Yilmaz threatened those who refused to cooperate by claiming she could transfer them or harm their positions, alleging that she had high-level connections. This tactic made her one of the most dangerous fraudsters in Turkey in recent years.
However, the fraud scheme ended with the arrest of Sharifa Yilmaz and her referral to trial, amidst widespread circulation of her multiple images and the fake identities she used to deceive the victims.
