وجه وزير الطاقة الدنماركي نداءً عاجلاً إلى مواطني بلاده لخفض استهلاك الطاقة وتجنب قيادة السيارات إلا في حالات الضرورة القصوى، وذلك مع استمرار ارتفاع أسعار النفط العالمية جراء الصراع في الشرق الأوسط.
وأوضح «لارس آجارد»، وزير المناخ والطاقة والمرافق في الدنمارك، أن الحرب الدائرة بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران دفعت البلاد إلى الاعتماد على احتياطياتها النفطية في ظل «ارتفاع أسعار النفط بشكل كبير» وعدم وجود نهاية تلوح في الأفق للصراع.
وأضاف في مقابلة مع هيئة الإذاعة الدنماركية المحلية: «رجاءً، إذا كان بإمكانكم الاستغناء عن أي استهلاك غير ضروري للطاقة، أو تجنب قيادة سياراتكم لغير الضرورة، فافعلوا ذلك»، حسبما نقلت «CNBC».
ولا تقتصر هذه الإجراءات التقشفية على الدنمارك؛ ففي المملكة المتحدة، طالبت جمعيات السيارات مثل «إيه إيه» السائقين بإلغاء «الرحلات غير الضرورية»، بينما حثت وزارة الصناعة والتجارة في فيتنام الشركات على اعتماد العمل عن بُعد، في حين طبقت الفلبين أسبوع عمل لمدة أربعة أيام في بعض القطاعات لتقليل استهلاك الوقود.
The Danish Minister of Energy has issued an urgent call to the citizens of his country to reduce energy consumption and avoid driving cars except in cases of extreme necessity, as global oil prices continue to rise due to the conflict in the Middle East.
Minister Lars Aagaard, the Minister of Climate, Energy, and Utilities in Denmark, explained that the ongoing war between the United States and Iran has forced the country to rely on its oil reserves amid "significantly rising oil prices" and no end in sight for the conflict.
He added in an interview with the local Danish Broadcasting Corporation: "Please, if you can forgo any unnecessary energy consumption, or avoid driving your cars unless absolutely necessary, do so," as reported by CNBC.
These austerity measures are not limited to Denmark; in the United Kingdom, automobile associations like the AA have urged drivers to cancel "unnecessary trips," while the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Vietnam has encouraged companies to adopt remote work, and the Philippines has implemented a four-day workweek in some sectors to reduce fuel consumption.
