لقي 12 شخصاً مصرعهم، أمس (الأحد)، إثر تحطم طائرة صغيرة قرب مطار بتلر التذكاري في مقاطعة بيتس بولاية ميزوري الأمريكية، وأكدت شرطة الطرق السريعة في ميزوري أنه لم ينجُ أي من الركاب الـ12، وأن فرق الإنقاذ عثرت على جميع الجثث في موقع الحادث.
وكانت الطائرة الأمريكية تقل 11 مظلياً وطياراً واحداً، وكانوا في طريقهم لممارسة رياضة القفز المظلي في يوم مشمس، بحسب ما أعلنته السلطات المحلية.
ووقع الحادث حوالى الساعة 11:35 صباحاً بتوقيت محلي، حين أقلعت الطائرة من مطار بتلر ثم قامت بمنعطف حاد، وفشلت في اكتساب الارتفاع قبل أن تنحدر بشكل حاد وتتحطم على بعد حوالى 300 ياردة من مدرج المطار، وأدى الحادث إلى اندلاع حريق محدود تمت السيطرة عليه بسرعة من قبل فرق الإطفاء.
ووصف مدير إدارة الطوارئ في مقاطعة بيتس، دينيس جاكوبس، المشهد بأنه «مروع»، مشيراً إلى أن فرق التحقيق من المكتب الوطني لسلامة النقل والإدارة الفيدرالية للطيران وصلت إلى الموقع للبدء في التحقيق الرسمي.
ويُعد هذا الحادث أحد أكثر حوادث الطائرات الخاصة دموية في الولايات المتحدة في 2026، إذ غالباً ما تكون رحلات القفز المظلي آمنة نسبياً، لكن الحوادث تحدث أحياناً بسبب مشاكل فنية في المحرك، أو أخطاء بشرية، أو ظروف جوية، خصوصاً في مراحل الإقلاع الحرجة.
وتحقق الجهات المختصة حالياً في احتمالية حدوث عطل في المحرك أو فقدان الطائرة القوة أثناء الإقلاع، إذ أشارت التقارير الأولية إلى أن الطائرة لم تتمكن من الحفاظ على الارتفاع بعد المنعطف. ومن المتوقع أن يستغرق التحقيق أسابيع قبل صدور تقرير أولي.
