A tragic incident claimed the lives of five people and injured nine others with varying degrees of severity, according to an initial toll likely to rise, after a vehicle transporting agricultural workers, including women, overturned yesterday (Wednesday) near the Lahwanta roundabout in the jurisdiction of the Ouled Rahmoun district in the El Jadida region of Morocco.

Immediately after the accident, elements of the Royal Gendarmerie and the Civil Protection team arrived at the scene, where the injured were transported to the hospital for treatment, and the bodies of the victims were taken to the morgue under the supervision of the public prosecutor, who opened a judicial investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.

This incident marks the second among agricultural workers in the El Jadida region within a week, raising questions about the safety of transporting workers in agricultural vehicles and the urgent need to take measures to prevent further human losses.
