حسم الأخدود بقاءه في دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين بعد تحقيقه فوزاً مثيراً على الخليج بنتيجة 3-2، في المواجهة التي جمعتهما مساء (الإثنين) ضمن منافسات الجولة الـ34 (الأخيرة) من دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين 2024–2025.
ورغم تأخر الأخدود بثنائية سجلها لاعب الخليج كونستانتينوس فورتونيس في الدقيقتين 47 و60، نجح الفريق في العودة عبر هدف تقليص الفارق الذي أحرزه مهند القيضي في الدقيقة 65، ثم هدف التعادل عن طريق صالح آل عباس في الدقيقة السادسة من الوقت بدل الضائع، وفي الدقيقة 90+15، تمكن محمد جحيف من تسجيل هدف الفوز الحاسم من ركلة جزاء، ليؤمن لفريقه ثلاث نقاط ثمينة.
بهذا الانتصار، رفع الأخدود رصيده إلى 34 نقطة في المركز الـ15، متقدماً بنقطة واحدة فقط عن الوحدة، الذي هبط رسمياً إلى دوري «يلو» للدرجة الأولى بعد خسارته أمام الاتفاق بنتيجة 2-1.
وجاء الخليج في المركز الـ12 برصيد 37 نقطة، بينما اختتم الأخدود موسمه ببقاء درامي حُسم في الثواني الأخيرة.
The Akhdood secured its place in the Saudi Pro League after achieving a thrilling victory over Al-Khaleej with a score of 3-2, in the match that took place on Monday evening as part of the 34th (final) round of the Saudi Pro League 2024-2025.
Despite falling behind with two goals scored by Al-Khaleej player Konstantinos Fortounis in the 47th and 60th minutes, the team managed to come back with a goal to reduce the deficit scored by Muhannad Al-Qaydi in the 65th minute, followed by an equalizer from Saleh Al-Abbas in the sixth minute of stoppage time. In the 90+15 minute, Mohammed Jaheef managed to score the decisive winning goal from a penalty, securing three valuable points for his team.
With this victory, Akhdood raised its tally to 34 points in 15th place, just one point ahead of Al-Wahda, which officially relegated to the Yelo First Division after losing to Al-Ettifaq 2-1.
Al-Khaleej came in 12th place with 37 points, while Akhdood concluded its season with a dramatic survival that was decided in the final seconds.
