أكدت اللجنة المحلية المنظمة لكأس آسيا السعودية 2027 جاهزية المملكة لاستضافة البطولة، بالتزامن مع بدء العد التنازلي لـ100 يوم على انطلاق منافساتها في 7 يناير 2027م، في أول نسخة من كأس آسيا تقام على أرض المملكة.
وأوضحت اللجنة أن الاستعدادات دخلت مرحلة التشغيل، مع مواصلة الأعمال التنظيمية والتجهيزات في المدن والملاعب المستضيفة، استعداداً لاستقبال 24 منتخباً يتنافس على لقب البطولة.
وقال رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم الشيخ سلمان بن إبراهيم آل خليفة: «مع اقتراب موعد النسخة الأكبر في تاريخ كأس آسيا، نتقدم بالشكر إلى قيادة المملكة وحكومتها، واللجنة المحلية المنظمة، والاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، على الجهود المبذولة لاستضافة البطولة، ومع بقاء 100 يوم على أكبر احتفالية كروية في القارة، تؤكد هذه المحطة أن المملكة تمضي وفق الخطة لتقديم نسخة غير مسبوقة ووفق أعلى المعايير، بدءاً من جودة الملاعب والمنشآت، ووصولاً إلى تقديم تجربة مميزة للمشجعين»، مؤكداً ثقتهم بأن جميع التحضيرات ستكتمل على أفضل وجه بحلول شهر يناير، لتكون المملكة على أتم الجاهزية لاستقبال هذا العرس الكروي الآسيوي.
من جانبها، أكدت الرئيس التنفيذي للجنة المحلية المنظمة لكأس آسيا السعودية 2027 مي الهلابي، أن جميع الاستعدادات تتكامل مع بدء العد التنازلي، وتسير أعمال تجهيز الملاعب الثمانية وفق الخطة، فيما تعمل أكثر من 50 جهة بروح الفريق الواحد لتقديم تجربة مميزة للمشجعين، منذ لحظة وصولهم وحتى مغادرتهم المملكة، وتعكس في جوهرها كرم الضيافة السعودية.
وأضافت: «حجم الاستعدادات يجسد طموحاتنا لهذه البطولة، وما تتمتع به المملكة من قدرات وإمكانات في تنظيم أبرز الأحداث الرياضية، ونرى ذلك على أرض الواقع اليوم في جدة، حيث تستضيف المملكة حالياً بطولة «خليجي 27»، في محطة جديدة تضاف إلى رصيدها في استضافة كبرى الفعاليات الكروية».
وتتواصل خلال الفترة القادمة مجموعة من المبادرات والفعاليات المصاحبة، تمهيداً لانطلاق البطولة، تشمل فيلماً يستعرض أبرز محطات الاستعداد قبل 100 يوم، والكشف عن التميمة الرسمية، وإطلاق الهوية الصوتية الرسمية للبطولة، إلى جانب عدد من المبادرات الأخرى.
The local organizing committee for the Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup has confirmed the Kingdom's readiness to host the tournament, coinciding with the countdown to 100 days until the competition kicks off on January 7, 2027, marking the first edition of the Asian Cup to be held on Saudi soil.
The committee explained that preparations have entered the operational phase, with ongoing organizational work and arrangements in the host cities and stadiums, in preparation to welcome 24 teams competing for the championship title.
Asian Football Confederation President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa stated: "As we approach the date of the largest edition in the history of the Asian Cup, we extend our thanks to the leadership of the Kingdom and its government, the local organizing committee, and the Saudi Football Federation for their efforts to host the tournament. With 100 days remaining until the biggest football celebration on the continent, this milestone confirms that the Kingdom is proceeding according to plan to deliver an unprecedented edition that meets the highest standards, starting from the quality of the stadiums and facilities, to providing a unique experience for fans," affirming their confidence that all preparations will be completed in the best possible manner by January, ensuring the Kingdom is fully ready to welcome this Asian football festival.
For her part, the CEO of the local organizing committee for the Saudi Arabia 2027 Asian Cup, Mai Al-Halabi, confirmed that all preparations are coming together as the countdown begins, and the work to prepare the eight stadiums is proceeding according to plan, while more than 50 entities are working as one team to provide a unique experience for fans, from the moment they arrive until they leave the Kingdom, reflecting the essence of Saudi hospitality.
She added: "The scale of preparations embodies our ambitions for this tournament and what the Kingdom possesses in terms of capabilities and potential to organize major sporting events. We see this in reality today in Jeddah, where the Kingdom is currently hosting the 'Gulf 27' tournament, marking a new addition to its record of hosting major football events."
In the coming period, a series of initiatives and accompanying events will continue in preparation for the tournament, including a film showcasing key preparation milestones before the 100-day mark, the unveiling of the official mascot, and the launch of the official audio identity for the tournament, along with several other initiatives.
