حسم المنتخبان الياباني والسويدي تأهلهما إلى دور الـ 32 من بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2026، بعدما تعادلا بنتيجة 1-1، في المباراة التي جمعتهما اليوم ضمن الجولة الثالثة والأخيرة من منافسات المجموعة السادسة.
وانتهى الشوط الأول بالتعادل السلبي، قبل أن يفتتح المنتخب الياباني التسجيل عبر دايزين مايدا في الدقيقة 56، فيما أدرك أنتوني إيلانغا التعادل للمنتخب السويدي في الدقيقة 62، لتنتهي المباراة بتقاسم الفريقين نقاط اللقاء.
ورفع المنتخب الياباني رصيده إلى خمس نقاط ليحتل المركز الثاني في المجموعة السادسة خلف المنتخب الهولندي المتصدر برصيد سبع نقاط ويحجز بطاقة التأهل المباشرة إلى دور الـ 32.
وسيلتقي منتخب اليابان في الدور القادم نظيره البرازيلي متصدر المجموعة الثالثة الاثنين القادم على ملعب هيوستن في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، في ثاني مواجهة بين المنتخبين في تاريخ كأس العالم، بعد لقائهما في نسخة 2006 بألمانيا التي انتهت بفوز البرازيل 4-1.
في المقابل، أنهى المنتخب السويدي دور المجموعات في المركز الثالث برصيد أربع نقاط، ليضمن العبور إلى دور الـ 32 ضمن أفضل ثمانية منتخبات احتلت المركز الثالث، بينما ودع المنتخب التونسي البطولة بعدما تذيل ترتيب المجموعة دون رصيد من النقاط.
The Japanese and Swedish teams secured their qualification to the Round of 32 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup after drawing 1-1 in the match held today during the third and final round of Group 6.
The first half ended in a goalless draw, before the Japanese team opened the scoring through Daizen Maeda in the 56th minute, while Anthony Elanga equalized for the Swedish team in the 62nd minute, resulting in both teams sharing the points.
The Japanese team raised its tally to five points, finishing second in Group 6 behind the Dutch team, which topped the group with seven points, securing a direct qualification to the Round of 32.
In the next round, Japan will face the Brazilian team, which topped Group 3, next Monday at the Houston stadium in the United States, marking the second encounter between the two teams in World Cup history, following their meeting in the 2006 edition in Germany, which ended with Brazil winning 4-1.
On the other hand, the Swedish team finished the group stage in third place with four points, ensuring their advancement to the Round of 32 as one of the best eight third-placed teams, while the Tunisian team was eliminated from the tournament after finishing at the bottom of the group without any points.
