With 20 days remaining until the end of the opportunity extension phase, the National Unified Admission Platform "Qabul" has opened new horizons for male and female high school graduates wishing to enroll in public universities and technical and vocational training colleges for the new academic year through a new phase represented by vacant seats in collaboration with the universities and colleges that were officially presented on the platform last Monday. A number of parents of the applicants expressed their happiness with this new step that enhances their children’s chances of obtaining university seats. They stated that the extension of the vacant seats period should continue until the actual start of university studies, anticipating that some accepted students may withdraw in the coming days after they managed to enroll in some educational sectors outside the platform. It is worth noting that "Qabul" confirmed that it has allowed applications for vacant seats in several public universities and the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training; continuing the current phase with the aim of expanding admission opportunities for students who have not yet secured acceptance, provided they meet the eligibility criteria to benefit from the remaining opportunity extension phase through the platform. It pointed out that applications for vacant seats will continue until August 31 of this month or until all vacant seats are filled, whichever comes first. It highlighted that the availability of these seats resulted from some not being filled during the preference arrangement phase, in addition to seats that became vacant due to the cancellation or withdrawal of a number of accepted students, or due to their failure to complete the admission procedures during previous phases.
