بعد إجازة طويلة بدأت في 25 يونيو امتدت لأسابيع طويلة تعود يوم غد (الثلاثاء) الحياة مجددا إلى المدارس بعودة الإداريين والمشرفين، فيما يلحق بهم المعلمون الأحد القادم 16 أغسطس.
ومن المقرر عودة الطلبة إلى فصولهم الدراسية يوم الأحد 23 أغسطس، وتستثنى من العودة إدارات التعليم في مكة والمدينة وجدة والطائف. ومع العودة المرتقبة بعد الإجازة تنتظر الطلاب والطالبات في العام الدراسي الجديد 6 إجازات، يومان لاحتفالات اليوم الوطني، و9 أيام إجازة الخريف، و9 أيام لمنتصف العام الدراسي، ويومان لذكرى يوم التأسيس، و16 يوما لعيد الفطر، ومثلها لعيد الأضحى.
وتضمن التقويم الدراسي للإدارات التعليمية الأربع المستثناة أن تكون عودة المعلمين والمعلمات إلى المدارس (الأحد) ما بعد القادم الموافق العاشر من شهر ربيع الأول، فيما ستكون الانطلاقة الفعلية للدراسة مع عودة الطلاب والطالبات إلى مقاعد الدراسة وذلك يوم السابع عشر من ربيع الأول.
يشار إلى أن التقويم الدراسي لكافة الإدارات التعليمية، بما فيها الإدارات الأربع، سيكون موحداً في الإجازات المدرسية طوال العام، بما فيها إجازة عيد الفطر، عدا إجازة عيد الأضحى التي ستبدأ في جميع الإدارات في الأول من شهر ذي الحجة وتستمر حتى يوم السادس عشر من الشهر نفسه، فيما ستبدأ إجازة عيد الأضحى في الإدارات الأربع يوم الثالث والعشرين من شهر ذي القعدة إلى يوم السادس عشر من ذي الحجة، وذلك مراعاة لأعمال وظروف موسم الحج.
وتأتي عودة الكوادر الإدارية والتعليمية على مراحل متتالية قبل انتظام الطلاب والطالبات، ضمن الاستعدادات النهائية لانطلاقة عام دراسي جديد، وتهيئة المدارس لاستقبال منسوبيها في مختلف مناطق ومحافظات السعودية.

The academic calendar for the four excluded education departments stipulates that the return of teachers to schools will be on the Sunday after next, corresponding to the 10th of Rabi' al-Awwal, while the actual start of classes will coincide with the return of students to their desks on the 17th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
It is worth noting that the academic calendar for all educational departments, including the four departments, will be unified in school holidays throughout the year, including the Eid al-Fitr holiday, except for the Eid al-Adha holiday, which will begin in all departments on the 1st of Dhul-Hijjah and continue until the 16th of the same month. The Eid al-Adha holiday in the four departments will start on the 23rd of Dhul-Qi'dah and last until the 16th of Dhul-Hijjah, taking into account the work and circumstances of the Hajj season.
The return of administrative and educational staff will occur in successive phases before the regular attendance of students, as part of the final preparations for the launch of a new academic year and to prepare schools to receive their staff in various regions and governorates of Saudi Arabia.
