أصدر المركز الوطني للأرصاد تنبيهًا متقدمًا بشأن حالة جوية تشهدها منطقة الباحة، اليوم؛ تتضمن هطول أمطار متفاوتة الشدة مصحوبة برياح نشطة تؤدي إلى تدنٍ في مدى الرؤية الأفقية، إضافة إلى احتمال حدوث صواعق رعدية على مدينة الباحة ومحافظات العقيق، وبلجرشي، والمندق، وبني حسن، والقرى، والمخواة، وقلوة، وغامد الزناد، والحجرة، والأجزاء المجاورة لها.
وأوضح المركز أن هذه الحالة تأتي ضمن نشاط السحب الركامية التي تتشكل على المرتفعات الجنوبية الغربية خلال فترة الصيف، حيث تسهم الفوارق الحرارية في زيادة سرعة الرياح السطحية وارتفاع فرص الهطولات الرعدية، خصوصًا في المناطق الجبلية والطرق التي تشهد حركة مرورية كثيفة.
وأشار إلى أن الحالة ستستمر -بمشيئة الله تعالى- حتى الساعة السابعة مساءً، داعيًا المواطنين والمقيمين إلى توخي الحيطة، والابتعاد عن مجاري السيول، وعدم المجازفة بعبور الأودية، ومتابعة تحديثات الحالة الجوية عبر منصات المركز الرسمية؛ نظرًا لاحتمال تجدد السحب الرعدية خلال ساعات المساء.
وتشهد منطقة الباحة، خلال هذه الفترة، تقلبات مناخية موسمية تتكرر سنويًا، حيث تتأثر المحافظات الواقعة على امتداد المرتفعات بسحب ممطرة ورياح نشطة، ما يستدعي رفع مستوى الجاهزية لدى الجهات المختصة للتعامل مع أي تطورات محتملة.
The National Center of Meteorology has issued an advanced alert regarding a weather condition affecting the Al-Baha region today; it includes varying intensity of rainfall accompanied by active winds leading to a decrease in horizontal visibility, in addition to the possibility of thunderstorms in the city of Al-Baha and the provinces of Al-Aqiq, Baljurashi, Al-Mandaq, Bani Hassan, Al-Qura, Al-Mikhwah, Qilwah, Ghamid Al-Zanad, Al-Hajrah, and the neighboring areas.
The center explained that this condition is part of the convective cloud activity that forms over the southwestern highlands during the summer period, where thermal differences contribute to increased surface wind speeds and higher chances of thunderstorm precipitation, especially in mountainous areas and roads experiencing heavy traffic.
It pointed out that the condition will continue - with God's will - until 7 PM, urging citizens and residents to exercise caution, stay away from flood channels, avoid risking crossing valleys, and follow updates on the weather condition through the center's official platforms; due to the possibility of renewed thunderstorm activity during the evening hours.
The Al-Baha region is experiencing seasonal climatic fluctuations during this period, which recur annually, as the provinces along the highlands are affected by rainy clouds and active winds, necessitating an increase in readiness among the relevant authorities to deal with any potential developments.
