The National Center of Meteorology has issued an advanced alert regarding a weather condition affecting the Najran region today, characterized by light to moderate rainfall accompanied by active winds that may cause a decrease in horizontal visibility, in addition to the possibility of thunderstorms in scattered areas of the region.
The alert includes the city of Najran and the governorates of Badr Al-Janoub, Habouna, Thar, Yadmah, and Khabbash, where it is expected that these locations will be affected by surface wind activity that may stir up dust, along with chances of scattered rainfall during daylight hours.
The center clarified that the weather condition will continue -God willing- until 8 PM, urging citizens and residents to exercise caution, stay away from flood channels, and follow updates through the official meteorological platforms, especially with the ongoing weather fluctuations in some regions of the Kingdom during this period.
This condition comes as part of a series of seasonal climate disturbances affecting the southern regions of the Kingdom, where the monsoon winds coming from the southwestern highlands contribute to the formation of cumulonimbus clouds and rainfall in parts of Najran and its surroundings.
