فجعت مدينة ريو دي جانيرو البرازيلية بتحطم مروحية سياحية في حديقة تيجوكا الوطنية بمنطقة غابات جبلية وعرة، مما أسفر عن مقتل أربعة أشخاص، بينهم طيار وثلاث نساء من عائلة كولومبية واحدة.
وأوضحت القنصل العام لكولومبيا في المدينة أن العائلة كانت تقضي رحلة للاحتفال بعيد ميلاد ابنة الخامسة عشرة، حيث انقسمت المجموعة إلى فوجين لضيق مساحة الطائرة، لتلقى الجدة والعمة وابنة العمة حتفهن في الرحلة الأولى، وتنجو الفتاة بأعجوبة لكون رحلتها مبرمجة لاحقاً مع والدها. وتحطمت الطائرة بالقرب من معلم «فيستا تشينيزا» الشهير، وسط صعوبات واجهت فرق الإنقاذ في انتشال الجثث وتحديد هوياتها جراء الاحتراق الشديد، في حادثة أعادت فتح باب التساؤلات حول أمان هذه الرحلات السياحية، لاسيما بعد حادثة تصادم مروحيتين سابق في يونيو الماضي أسفر عن ستة قتلى، مما دفع رئيس بلدية ريو إلى المطالبة بتشديد فوري للرقابة على قطاع الطيران المدني لضمان سلامة الأرواح.

This incident reopened questions about the safety of these tourist flights, especially following a previous collision of two helicopters last June that resulted in six fatalities, prompting the Mayor of Rio to call for immediate tightening of oversight on the civil aviation sector to ensure the safety of lives.
