ودع قائد إنتر ميامي الأمريكي والمنتخب الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي برفقة عائلته، والده خورخي ميسي، أمس (الأحد)، في مقبرة «إل برادو» الواقعة على مشارف مدينة روساريو الأرجنتينية، وسط إجراءات أمنية مشددة.
وتوفي خورخي ميسي، الذي تولى أيضاً إدارة أعمال نجله ليونيل منذ أن كان في الرابعة عشرة من عمره، في أحد مستشفيات مسقط رأسه روساريو، يوم السبت، عن عمر ناهز 68 عاماً، بعد صراع مع المرض.
مراسم وداع خاصة في روساريو
وكان ميسي قد وصل برفقة شريكته أنتونيلا وأطفالهما إلى مدينة روساريو خلال الساعات الماضية، على متن طائرة خاصة قادمة من الولايات المتحدة، للانضمام إلى والدته سيليا كوتشيتيني وإخوته ماتياس ورودريغو وماريا سول خلال مراسم الجنازة.
وأغلقت الشرطة حديقة «إل برادو» أمام الزوار منذ منتصف النهار، بهدف توفير مزيد من الخصوصية للعائلة خلال مراسم الوداع.
رسائل مواساة
وبدت علامات الحزن الشديد على ليونيل ميسي خلال مراسم الجنازة، فيما حرص عدد من المشجعين على التعبير عن دعمهم للنجم الأرجنتيني، حيث تركوا لافتات تحمل رسائل مؤثرة، وكتب أحدهم على سياج مقبرة «إل برادو»: «ابق قوياً يا ليونيل، نحن نحبك».
American Inter Miami captain and Argentine national team player Lionel Messi bid farewell to his father Jorge Messi yesterday (Sunday) at the "El Prado" cemetery on the outskirts of the Argentine city of Rosario, amid tight security measures.
Jorge Messi, who also managed his son Lionel's career since he was fourteen years old, passed away on Saturday at the age of 68 after a battle with illness in a hospital in his hometown of Rosario.
Special farewell ceremonies in Rosario
Messi arrived with his partner Antonela and their children in Rosario in the past hours on a private plane from the United States to join his mother Celia Cuccittini and his siblings Matias, Rodrigo, and Maria Sol during the funeral ceremonies.
The police closed the "El Prado" park to visitors since noon, in order to provide more privacy for the family during the farewell ceremonies.
Messages of condolence
Signs of deep sorrow were evident on Lionel Messi during the funeral ceremonies, while several fans made sure to express their support for the Argentine star, leaving signs with touching messages. One wrote on the fence of "El Prado" cemetery: "Stay strong, Lionel, we love you."
