خرج العديد من السوريين، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إلى الشوارع، خصوصاً في دمشق ومدن أخرى، احتفالاً بحكم الإعدام الصادر بحق بشار وماهر الأسد وعاطف نجيب.
احتفالات السوريين بإعدام بشار وشقيقه ماهر
وتجمّع عدد من السوريين بالقرب من قصر العدل في العاصمة احتفالاً. وعبّرت أسر ضحايا جرائم النظام السوري السابق عن فرحتها بحكم الإعدام.
وعلت الزغاريد، بينما حمل عدد من السوريين الذين تجمّعوا أمام قصر العدل على أكتافهم أحد أعضاء محكمة الجنايات التي أصدرت الحكم.
وقضت محكمة الجنايات الرابعة في دمشق، (الثلاثاء)، غيابياً، بالإعدام بحق الرئيس السابق بشار الأسد بتهمة القتل العمد والتعذيب.
جاء ذلك خلال جلسة عقدتها المحكمة للنطق بالحكم في الدعوى المقامة ضد عاطف نجيب والمتهمين الآخرين الفارين، بارتكاب جرائم بحق الشعب السوري. وقررت المحكمة بالإجماع تجريم «المتهم الفار بشار الأسد بتهم القتل والتحريض على القتل والحكم عليه بالإعدام».
وأصدرت المحكمة حكماً بالإعدام بحق عاطف نجيب بعد استكمال جلسات محاكمته.
وكانت المحكمة عقدت ثماني جلسات للنظر في الدعوى المقامة ضد عاطف نجيب، المتهم بارتكاب جرائم بحق الشعب السوري.
يذكر أن عاطف نجيب هو ابن خالة بشار الأسد، وشغل سابقاً منصب رئيس فرع الأمن السياسي في محافظة درعا التي شهدت حملات من الاعتقالات منذ انطلاق الثورة السورية عام 2011.
وكانت أولى جلسات محاكمة عاطف نجيب انطلقت يوم 26 أبريل الماضي ضمن مسار يهدف إلى كشف الحقيقة، وإنصاف الضحايا، ومحاسبة المتورطين وفق الأصول القضائية.
Many Syrians took to the streets today (Tuesday), especially in Damascus and other cities, to celebrate the death sentences issued against Bashar and Maher al-Assad and Atef Najib.
احتفالات السوريين بإعدام بشار وشقيقه ماهر
A number of Syrians gathered near the Palace of Justice in the capital to celebrate. Families of the victims of the previous Syrian regime expressed their joy at the death sentence.
Cheers erupted, while several Syrians who gathered in front of the Palace of Justice carried one of the members of the criminal court that issued the ruling on their shoulders.
The Fourth Criminal Court in Damascus ruled (on Tuesday), in absentia, the death penalty against former President Bashar al-Assad on charges of premeditated murder and torture.
This came during a session held by the court to announce the verdict in the case against Atef Najib and the other fleeing defendants, accused of committing crimes against the Syrian people. The court unanimously decided to convict “the fugitive defendant Bashar al-Assad on charges of murder and incitement to murder and sentenced him to death.”
The court also issued a death sentence against Atef Najib after completing his trial sessions.
The court had held eight sessions to consider the case against Atef Najib, who is accused of committing crimes against the Syrian people.
It is worth noting that Atef Najib is Bashar al-Assad's cousin and previously held the position of head of the Political Security Branch in Daraa province, which witnessed campaigns of arrests since the outbreak of the Syrian revolution in 2011.
The first session of Atef Najib's trial began on April 26 of last year as part of a process aimed at uncovering the truth, providing justice for the victims, and holding the perpetrators accountable according to judicial procedures.
