جاء هدف الزمالك واللقاء الوحيد في الدقيقة 11، بضربة رأس رائعة من ناصر منسي.
وشهد الشوط الأول طرد كلٍ من لاعب الاتحاد السكندري كريم الديب، ولاعب الزمالك محمد شحاتة، بعد تدخلات عنيفة من الجانبين.

بهذه النتيجة، رفع الزمالك رصيده إلى 43 نقطة لينفرد بصدارة الدوري المصري، بفارق ثلاث نقاط عن بيراميدز والأهلي، اللذين يحتلان المركزين الثاني والثالث على الترتيب.
في المقابل، تجمد رصيد الاتحاد السكندري عند 20 نقطة في المركز الرابع عشر، بعد تلقيه الخسارة الثانية عشرة هذا الموسم.
Zamalek achieved a valuable victory over their guest, Al-Ittihad Al-Sakandari, with a single goal in the match that took place on Friday evening at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the 21st round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The only goal of the match came in the 11th minute, with a brilliant header from Nasr Mansi.
The first half witnessed the red cards for both Al-Ittihad Al-Sakandari player Karim Al-Dib and Zamalek player Mohamed Shahat, following violent interventions from both sides.

With this result, Zamalek raised their points to 43, taking the lead in the Egyptian league, three points ahead of Pyramids and Al-Ahly, who occupy the second and third places respectively.
On the other hand, Al-Ittihad Al-Sakandari's points remained at 20, placing them in the fourteenth position, after suffering their twelfth defeat this season.
