أكد حسام حسن، المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر، في المؤتمر الصحفي عشية مباراة الفراعنة الافتتاحية أمام زيمبابوي في كأس أمم إفريقيا 2025، أن قائد الفراعنة محمد صلاح يتمتع بمعنويات عالية جدًا، وأنه «سيكون واحدًا من أفضل لاعبي البطولة»، مشددًا على أن صلاح «أيقونة مصرية وسيظل دائمًا من أفضل اللاعبين في العالم».
وكشف حسن تفاصيل تواصله مع صلاح عقب الخلاف الأخير مع مدربه في ليفربول آرني سلوت، قائلًا: «التواصل بيني وبينه مفتوح دائمًا، وما حدث لا يُعتبر أزمة، فأي لاعب معرض لاختلاف وجهات النظر مع جهازه الفني».
وأضاف حسام حسن أنه «عندما انضم إلى المعسكر، شعرت بطموحه الكبير لتحقيق إنجاز، وكلما انخفض مستواه مع ناديه، يعود أقوى مع المنتخب»، مضيفا أن «صلاح يحتاج أن يساعد نفسه أولًا، ثم نساعده نحن لتحقيق اللقب الثامن».
وأعرب حسن عن سعادته بمجموعة اللاعبين، قائلًا: «أنا محظوظ بوجود لاعبين مثل صلاح وتريزيجيه ومرموش ومصطفى محمد، وعندي توليفة قادرة على الفوز بالبطولة، والظروف معنا والجماهير في ظهورنا».
