مع اقتراب موسم الاحتفالات بأعياد الميلاد (الكريسماس)، التي يتبادل خلالها ملايين الأشخاص حول العالم التهاني، وما تتخلله من استفهامات واجتهادات لدى البعض حول مشروعية المشاركة فيه وحدود ظهوره في الفضاء العام، بين من يراه مناسبة دينية خاصة ينبغي احترام خصوصيتها، ومن يعتبره حدثاً عالمياً ذا طابع اجتماعي وثقافي لا يتعارض مع قيم التعايش والانفتاح.
وفي هذا السياق، كشف الأمين العام لرابطة العالم الإسلامي، رئيس هيئة علماء المسلمين الشيخ الدكتور محمد بن عبدالكريم العيسى الحكم الشرعي المتعلق بتهنئة غير المسلمين بأعيادهم، مؤكدًا أنه لا يوجد نصّ شرعي يمنع ذلك.
وأوضح العيسى في حديث سابق، عبر برنامج «بالتي هي أحسن»، أن تهنئة غير المسلمين بـ«الكريسماس» أو غيره من الأعياد لا تتعارض مع أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية، مشيرًا إلى صدور فتاوى من علماء كبار في العالم الإسلامي تجيز هذا الأمر.
وبيّن أن المسائل الاجتهادية لا يجوز الاعتراض عليها، مؤكدًا أن الاعتراض يكون فقط في القضايا التي وقع عليها إجماع قطعي، لا في المسائل الظنية، لافتًا إلى أن تهنئة غير المسلمين تحقق مصلحة ظاهرة تسهم في تعزيز صورة الإسلام السمحة.
وأضاف أن الإسلام أباح أكل طعام أهل الكتاب وذبائحهم، دون أن يعني ذلك الإقرار بعقائدهم، موضحًا أن هذا النهج ينسجم مع مقاصد الشريعة.
وختم العيسى حديثه بالتأكيد على أن تبادل التهاني يهدف إلى تعزيز قيم التعايش والوئام، في عالم بات اليوم أحوج ما يكون إلى ترسيخ ثقافة التفاهم بين الشعوب والأديان.
As the Christmas holiday season approaches, during which millions of people around the world exchange greetings, there are questions and efforts among some regarding the legitimacy of participating in it and the limits of its appearance in public space, between those who see it as a special religious occasion that should be respected for its privacy, and those who consider it a global event with a social and cultural character that does not conflict with the values of coexistence and openness.
In this context, the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, revealed the legal ruling regarding congratulating non-Muslims on their holidays, confirming that there is no religious text that prohibits this.
Al-Issa explained in a previous discussion, through the program "Balti Hiya Ahsen," that congratulating non-Muslims on "Christmas" or other holidays does not conflict with the rulings of Islamic law, noting that fatwas have been issued by prominent scholars in the Islamic world permitting this matter.
He indicated that matters of ijtihad (independent juristic reasoning) should not be opposed, emphasizing that objections should only be in issues that have reached a definitive consensus, not in ambiguous matters, pointing out that congratulating non-Muslims serves a clear interest that contributes to enhancing the positive image of Islam.
He added that Islam permits eating the food and slaughter of the People of the Book, without this meaning an endorsement of their beliefs, explaining that this approach aligns with the objectives of Sharia.
Al-Issa concluded his remarks by emphasizing that exchanging greetings aims to promote the values of coexistence and harmony in a world that today is in greater need of establishing a culture of understanding among peoples and religions.
