أعلن البرازيلي فرناندينيو، لاعب وسط مانشستر سيتي الإنجليزي السابق، اعتزاله كرة القدم نهائياً.
وقال فرناندينيو بعد مشاركته في مباراة خيرية: «أنا مرهق بالفعل من الجري لمدة 30 دقيقة، لا شيء في كرة القدم يحفزني بعد الآن، لقد حققت بالفعل أشياء عظيمة في مسيرتي».
وأضاف اللاعب البالغ من العمر 40 عاماً: «حان الوقت للاستمتاع بالوقت مع عائلتي».
مسيرة بارزة مع مانشستر سيتي
ويعد مانشستر سيتي أبرز محطات فرناندينيو، حيث انضم إلى صفوفه في 2013 قادماً من شاختار الأوكراني، ولعب بقميص الفريق لمدة ثمانية مواسم ونصف.
توج فرناندينيو مع السيتي بلقب الدوري الإنجليزي 5 مرات، وفاز بكأس الرابطة الإنجليزية 6 مرات، إضافة إلى كأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي ودرع المجتمع مرة واحدة.
إنجازات دولية مع البرازيل
ومع المنتخب البرازيلي، فاز اللاعب بكأس العالم تحت 20 عاماً عام 2003، وكوبا أمريكا عام 2019، كما شارك في بطولتي كأس العالم 2014 في البرازيل و2018 في روسيا.
Brazilian Fernandinho, former midfielder of Manchester City, has announced his retirement from football permanently.
Fernandinho said after participating in a charity match: “I am really exhausted from running for 30 minutes; nothing in football motivates me anymore. I have already achieved great things in my career.”
The 40-year-old player added: “It’s time to enjoy time with my family.”
Prominent career with Manchester City
Manchester City is the most significant chapter in Fernandinho's career, as he joined the team in 2013 from Ukrainian Shakhtar Donetsk, playing for the club for eight and a half seasons.
Fernandinho won the English Premier League title 5 times with City, and he also won the English League Cup 6 times, in addition to the FA Cup and the Community Shield once.
International achievements with Brazil
With the Brazilian national team, the player won the Under-20 World Cup in 2003 and the Copa America in 2019, and he participated in the World Cups in 2014 in Brazil and 2018 in Russia.
