اختتمت أمس فعاليات البطولة الآسيوية الثانية لفئتي 16 سنة و14 سنة للبنين والبنات، التي استضافتها المملكة على ملاعب مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، بمشاركة 30 لاعبًا و6 لاعبات من دول آسيوية مختلفة.
وشهدت منافسات الزوجي للبنين تتويج الثنائي هاشم التوبلي من البحرين وسلمان اليامي من السعودية بالميدالية الذهبية، فيما حلّ الثنائي أحمد السيد من البحرين وعلي الأحمد من السعودية في المركز الثاني محققين الميدالية الفضية.
وفي منافسات الفردي، أحرز اللاعب أحمد السيد من البحرين لقب البطولة والميدالية الذهبية، بينما حصل اللاعب إبراهيم الأنديجاني من السعودية على المركز الثاني.
وشهدت منافسات الفردي للبنات تتويج اللاعبة ملك هدار من تونس بالميدالية الذهبية، بينما حصدت اللاعبة فاطمة الزهراء من مصر المركز الثاني.
يُذكر أن البطولة التي اختتمت تُعد الثانية من بطولات الاتحاد الآسيوي للتنس ATF، ضمن سلسلة مكوّنة من خمس بطولات ينظمها الاتحاد السعودي للتنس في الرياض وجدة والمنطقة الشرقية.
The second Asian Championship for the under-16 and under-14 categories for boys and girls concluded yesterday, hosted by the Kingdom at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, with the participation of 30 male players and 6 female players from various Asian countries.
In the boys' doubles competition, the duo Hashim Al-Toubli from Bahrain and Salman Al-Yami from Saudi Arabia won the gold medal, while the duo Ahmed Al-Sayed from Bahrain and Ali Al-Ahmad from Saudi Arabia secured the second place, earning the silver medal.
In the singles competition, player Ahmed Al-Sayed from Bahrain claimed the championship title and the gold medal, while player Ibrahim Al-Andijani from Saudi Arabia took second place.
In the girls' singles competition, player Malak Hdar from Tunisia won the gold medal, while player Fatima Al-Zahra from Egypt secured second place.
It is worth mentioning that the concluded championship is the second of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) tournaments, part of a series of five tournaments organized by the Saudi Tennis Federation in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province.
