في الوقت الذي يسعى فيه وزير الرياضة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي، ونائب رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن مساعد بن عبدالعزيز، إلى إبراز دور اللجان العاملة في دورة ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي 2005، تقديراً لإسهاماتهم الرائدة والتي كانت سبباً رئيسياً في فوز المنتخبات السعودية بتلك الدورة، بإقامة تكريم لجميع من ساهم في ذلك النجاح، إلا أن القائمين على الحفل المقرر اليوم تجاهلوا «المحتفى بهم» ما سبب لهم صدمة نفسيه ليتجرد الحفل الذي خصص لهم بمجمع الأمير فيصل بن فهد الأولمبي بالرياض، من هدفه الرئيسي في تخليد إنجازاتهم وتقدير جهودهم الكبيرة التي بذلوها آنذاك في تنظيم الدورة الأولى، والتي أسست لمرحلة جديدة من استضافة وتنظيم المملكة للفعاليات الرياضية الكبرى، وأسهمت في بناء بنية تحتية متطورة وتنمية الكفاءات الوطنية في مجالات التنظيم والإدارة الرياضية، ليقتصر الحضور على «الأقربون أولى بالمعروف».
ويُعد هذا الحفل وفاءً لجيل من الكفاءات الوطنية الذين وضعوا اللبنة الأولى لمسيرة الإنجازات الرياضية التي تواصلها المملكة اليوم، تأكيداً على نهج اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية في تكريم المساهمين في تطوير القطاع الرياضي وتعزيز الإرث التنظيمي للأحداث الرياضية الدولية.
كما يأتي التكريم في إطار استعدادات المملكة لاستضافة النسخة السادسة من دورة ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي «الرياض 2025»، تجسيداً لمسيرة الاستمرارية والتطوير التي تمتد منذ النسخة الأولى وحتى اليوم، بما يعكس مكانة المملكة الريادية في استضافة وتنظيم الأحداث الرياضية على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.
At a time when the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki, and the Vice President of the Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Fahd bin Jiluwi bin Musaed bin Abdulaziz, are striving to highlight the role of the working committees in the 2005 Islamic Solidarity Games, in appreciation of their pioneering contributions which were a major reason for the success of the Saudi teams in that event, by holding a tribute for all those who contributed to that success, the organizers of the ceremony scheduled for today overlooked the "honorees," which caused them psychological shock, stripping the ceremony dedicated to them at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh of its main purpose of commemorating their achievements and appreciating the significant efforts they made at that time in organizing the first edition, which laid the foundation for a new phase of the Kingdom's hosting and organizing of major sporting events, and contributed to building advanced infrastructure and developing national competencies in the fields of organization and sports management, limiting the attendance to "those closest are more deserving of kindness."
This ceremony is a tribute to a generation of national competencies who laid the first stone for the path of sports achievements that the Kingdom continues today, affirming the approach of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee in honoring those who contributed to the development of the sports sector and enhancing the organizational legacy of international sporting events.
The tribute also comes as part of the Kingdom's preparations to host the sixth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games "Riyadh 2025," embodying a journey of continuity and development that has extended since the first edition until today, reflecting the Kingdom's pioneering position in hosting and organizing sporting events at both the regional and international levels.
