The Egyptian national football team has left the city of Jeddah heading to Spain on a journey that will take 7 hours, to face the Spanish national team in a friendly match on March 31 at the "RCDE Stadium," the home ground of Espanyol in Barcelona, as part of the preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

The Egyptian team won against Al-Akhdr with a clean four-goal victory in the match that took place on Friday evening at the "Al-Inma" Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City.

Umrah before travel

After the match, the Egyptian team headed to Mecca to perform the Umrah rituals, before packing their bags for travel to Spain without any rest, due to the tight schedule.

Absence of Salah

The Egyptian team will miss the services of its star Mohamed Salah, due to an injury he sustained while playing with Liverpool against Galatasaray in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
