كشفت وزارة الداخلية المصرية لغز تشكيل عصابي متخصص في تصنيع وبيع جنيهات وسبائك ذهبية مقلدة، مستخدمًا أساليب متطورة في الاحتيال لإيهام المواطنين بشراء ذهب أصلي.
وفي تفاصيل الواقعة، ضبط قطاع الأمن العام عصابة مكونة من 6 أشخاص اعتمدت على خبراتها في تشكيل المعادن، حيث قامت بصهر النحاس وصبّه في قوالب خاصة، ثم معالجته بمواد كيميائية ليحاكي بريق الذهب الحقيقي. ولم يتوقف الأمر عند هذا الحد، بل أعاد المتهمون تغليف الجنيهات والسبائك بعد استبدال محتواها بقطع مزيفة، مرفقة بفواتير وأختام مزورة منسوبة لمحلات صاغة شهيرة، لإيهام الضحايا بمشروعية المصدر.
وجاءت عملية الضبط بعد متابعة دقيقة لنشاط العصابة التي كانت تتخذ من ورشة بمنطقة «أول السلام» بالقاهرة مقرًا لتصنيع الذهب المزيف، وتمت المداهمة في نطاق محافظة الغربية. وأسفرت الحملة عن ضبط 63 جنيهاً ذهبياً مقلداً، و5 سبائك، إلى جانب أدوات التصنيع، والأغلفة الفارغة، والفواتير المزورة.
واعترف المتهمون بارتكاب 6 وقائع نصب متشابهة، فيما اتخذت الجهات القانونية الإجراءات اللازمة ضدهم.
وتأتي هذه العملية ضمن جهود وزارة الداخلية المستمرة لمكافحة الجرائم الاقتصادية، حيث جددت الوزارة تحذيراتها للمواطنين بضرورة شراء المشغولات والسبائك الذهبية من المحلات والمنافذ التجارية الموثوقة والمعتمدة فقط، لتجنب الوقوع فريسة لعمليات الاحتيال المتقنة.
The Egyptian Ministry of Interior has revealed the mystery behind a gang specialized in the manufacturing and sale of counterfeit gold coins and bars, using advanced fraud techniques to deceive citizens into purchasing what they believed to be genuine gold.
In the details of the incident, the General Security Sector apprehended a gang consisting of 6 individuals who relied on their expertise in metal forming. They melted copper and poured it into special molds, then treated it with chemical substances to mimic the shine of real gold. The situation did not stop there; the accused rewrapped the coins and bars after replacing their contents with fake pieces, accompanied by counterfeit invoices and seals attributed to well-known jewelry stores, to mislead the victims about the legitimacy of the source.
The operation came after careful monitoring of the gang's activities, which had set up a workshop in the "Awal Al-Salam" area of Cairo for manufacturing fake gold, and the raid took place within the Gharbia Governorate. The campaign resulted in the seizure of 63 counterfeit gold coins, 5 bars, as well as manufacturing tools, empty wrappers, and forged invoices.
The accused admitted to committing 6 similar fraud incidents, while the legal authorities took the necessary actions against them.
This operation is part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts to combat economic crimes, as the ministry renewed its warnings to citizens about the necessity of purchasing gold jewelry and bars only from trusted and accredited shops and commercial outlets, to avoid falling victim to sophisticated fraud operations.
