تُوّج فريق باريس سان جيرمان بلقب كأس السوبر الفرنسي للمرة الـ14 في تاريخه، بعد فوزه على أولمبيك مارسيليا بركلات الجزاء الترجيحية بنتيجة 4-1، عقب انتهاء الوقت الأصلي بالتعادل 2-2، في مواجهة مثيرة جمعتهما مساء الخميس على ملعب جابر الأحمد في الكويت.
وأنهى باريس سان جيرمان الشوط الأول متقدماً بهدف دون رد، حمل توقيع النجم عثمان ديمبلي، بعد أداء هجومي منظم من الفريق الباريسي.
واشتعلت المباراة في الدقائق الأخيرة، بعدما أدرك أولمبيك مارسيليا التعادل عبر ماسون غرينوود من ركلة جزاء في الدقيقة 76، قبل أن يسجل ويليام باتشو لاعب سان جيرمان هدفاً بالخطأ في مرمى فريقه، مانحاً التقدم لمارسيليا قبل 3 دقائق من نهاية الوقت الأصلي.

وكثّف باريس سان جيرمان محاولاته الهجومية، لينجح في خطف هدف التعادل القاتل في الثواني الأخيرة عن طريق غونزالو راموس، ليحتكم الفريقان إلى ركلات الترجيح.

Paris Saint-Germain ended the first half leading by a goal without reply, scored by star Ousmane Dembélé, following an organized attacking performance from the Parisian team.
The match heated up in the final minutes, after Olympique Marseille equalized through Mason Greenwood from a penalty in the 76th minute, before William Saliba of PSG accidentally scored an own goal, giving Marseille the lead just 3 minutes before the end of regular time.
