أقال نادي جنوة متذيل ترتيب دوري الدرجة الأولى الإيطالي لكرة القدم مدربه باتريك فييرا اليوم (السبت) بعد بداية دون أي فوز بالموسم الحالي، إذ تعادل الفريق في 3 مباريات وخسر في 6.
وتولى لاعب الوسط الفرنسي السابق فييرا مسؤولية تدريب جنوة في نوفمبر من العام الماضي عندما كان الفريق يحتل المركز الـ17، وساعده على تجنب الهبوط واحتلال المركز الـ13 في دوري الأضواء.
لكن بداية الموسم الجديد كانت مخيبة للآمال، إذ سجل الفريق 4 أهداف فقط في 9 مباريات.
وقال النادي في بيان اليوم: «يعلن نادي جنوة أن باتريك فييرا لم يعد مدرباً للفريق الأول... وتم تكليف روبرتو مورجيتا بقيادة الجهاز الفني للفريق الأول مؤقتاً، وسيساعده دومينيكو كريشيتو».
وبدأ فييرا (49 عاماً) مسيرته التدريبية مع فريق مانشستر سيتي تحت 23 عاماً خلال الفترة من 2013 وحتى 2015، قبل أن يتولى تدريب نيويورك سيتي الأمريكي. ثم قضى عامين ونصف العام مع نيس الفرنسي قبل أن ينتقل إلى كريستال بالاس الإنجليزي.
ورحل قائد أرسنال السابق عن ستراسبورغ الفرنسي في يوليو من العام الماضي قبل أن يتولى تدريب جنوة.
ويحل جنوة، الذي يتأخر بنقطتين عن منطقة الأمان، ضيفاً على ساسولو الإثنين القادم.
The bottom-placed Genoa club in the Italian Serie A has sacked its coach Patrick Vieira today (Saturday) after a winless start to the current season, with the team drawing 3 matches and losing 6.
Former French midfielder Vieira took over the coaching responsibilities at Genoa in November of last year when the team was in 17th place, helping them avoid relegation and finish 13th in the top league.
However, the start of the new season has been disappointing, as the team has scored only 4 goals in 9 matches.
The club stated in a statement today: "Genoa announces that Patrick Vieira is no longer the head coach of the first team... Roberto Morgiotta has been appointed to temporarily lead the first team coaching staff, assisted by Domenico Criscito."
Vieira (49 years old) began his coaching career with Manchester City's Under-23 team from 2013 to 2015, before taking over as coach of New York City FC. He then spent two and a half years with French club Nice before moving to English club Crystal Palace.
The former Arsenal captain left Strasbourg in France in July of last year before taking over at Genoa.
Genoa, which is two points adrift of safety, will face Sassuolo next Monday.
