أكد تقرير صحفي اقتراب الإسباني رافائيل بينيتيز من العودة إلى التدريب بعد غياب دام نحو 19 شهراً، حيث لم يتول تدريب أي فريق منذ إقالته من قيادة سيلتا فيغو في 12 مارس 2024.
وبحسب صحيفة «ديلي ميل» البريطانية، فإن بينيتيز يستعد لخوض التجربة التدريبية الـ17 في مسيرته بعد أن وافق على تدريب نادي باناثينايكوس اليوناني في صفقة مدتها عامان.
وأفادت الصحيفة بأن المدرب الإسباني سيحصل على 3.47 مليون جنيه إسترليني سنوياً مع باناثينايكوس، ما يجعله المدرب الأعلى أجراً في تاريخ الدوري اليوناني.
وقبل أن يتولى تدريب باناثينايكوس، قاد بينيتيز 16 فريقاً، أبرزها: ليفربول، إنتر ميلان، تشيلسي، نابولي، وريال مدريد.
ومن أبرز إنجازاته التدريبية الفوز بلقبين في الدوري الإسباني وكأس الاتحاد الأوروبي مع فالنسيا، ودوري أبطال أوروبا والسوبر الأوروبي مع ليفربول، وكأس العالم للأندية مع إنتر ميلان، والدوري الأوروبي مع تشيلسي.
A press report confirmed that Spanish coach Rafael Benitez is close to returning to management after a hiatus of about 19 months, as he has not managed any team since being dismissed from Celta Vigo on March 12, 2024.
According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail," Benitez is preparing to embark on his 17th coaching experience after agreeing to manage the Greek club Panathinaikos in a two-year deal.
The newspaper reported that the Spanish coach will earn £3.47 million annually with Panathinaikos, making him the highest-paid coach in the history of the Greek league.
Before taking over at Panathinaikos, Benitez managed 16 teams, most notably: Liverpool, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Napoli, and Real Madrid.
Among his most significant coaching achievements are winning two La Liga titles and the UEFA Cup with Valencia, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup with Liverpool, the FIFA Club World Cup with Inter Milan, and the UEFA Europa League with Chelsea.
