افتتح لينارت كارل (17 عاماً) التسجيل لبايرن ميونخ بعد خمس دقائق فقط من انطلاق المباراة، ليصبح أصغر لاعب ألماني يسجل في تاريخ المسابقة القارية.
وأضاف النجم الإنجليزي هاري كين الهدف الثاني للفريق البافاري في الدقيقة 14، قبل أن يعزز لويس دياز تقدم أصحاب الأرض بتسجيل الهدف الثالث في الدقيقة 34، ليحسم بايرن الشوط الأول بثلاثية نظيفة.
