أعلن نادي أتلتيكو مدريد الإسباني خوض مباراة ودية أمام نظيره الإيطالي إنتر ميلان، ستُقام في ليبيا خلال فترة التوقف الدولي القادمة.
وأوضح النادي، في بيان عبر موقعه الإلكتروني، أن المباراة ستُقام يوم الجمعة الموافق 10 أكتوبر، على ملعب بنغازي الدولي، ضمن منافسات بطولة كأس «إعادة الإعمار».
فرصة للجاهزية خلال التوقف الدولي
وأضاف أن المباراة ستُتيح فرصة مثالية للاعبين الذين لم يتم استدعاؤهم للمشاركة مع منتخباتهم الوطنية، من أجل الحفاظ على جاهزيتهم البدنية والذهنية، استعداداً لاستئناف المباريات الرسمية.
واستذكر البيان المواجهة الأخيرة بين الفريقين في موسم 2023-2024، في دور خروج المغلوب من دوري أبطال أوروبا، حيث شهدت المباراتان ندية كبيرة، فاز إنتر ميلان في لقاء الذهاب، قبل أن يفرض أتلتيكو وقتاً إضافياً في الإياب على ملعب «طيران الرياض ميتروبوليتانو»، ليضمن بعدها التأهل إلى الدور التالي بركلات الترجيح.
تحضير لموقعة الأبطال
وختم: «سنواجه إنتر ميلان مجدداً في دوري أبطال أوروبا هذا العام، في مباراة من المتوقع أن تكون بنفس إثارة سابقتها، وستكون المباراة الودية بمثابة اختبار جيد لقياس قوة الفريق والحفاظ على تفوقه التنافسي خلال فترة التوقف الدولي».
Atlético Madrid has announced that it will play a friendly match against its Italian counterpart Inter Milan, which will take place in Libya during the upcoming international break.
The club clarified in a statement on its website that the match will be held on Friday, October 10, at the Benghazi International Stadium, as part of the "Reconstruction Cup" tournament.
Opportunity for readiness during the international break
It added that the match will provide an ideal opportunity for players who have not been called up to participate with their national teams, in order to maintain their physical and mental readiness in preparation for the resumption of official matches.
The statement recalled the last encounter between the two teams in the 2023-2024 season, in the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League, where both matches were highly competitive. Inter Milan won the first leg, before Atlético forced extra time in the second leg at the "Cívitas Metropolitano" Stadium, ultimately securing qualification to the next round through penalties.
Preparation for the champions' clash
It concluded: "We will face Inter Milan again in the Champions League this year, in a match expected to be as thrilling as the previous one, and the friendly match will serve as a good test to gauge the team's strength and maintain its competitive edge during the international break."
