The Palestinian national team snatched a valuable draw against their Tunisian counterpart with a score of two goals each, in the match that took place this evening (Thursday) at the "Lusail" stadium, as part of the second round of the group stage in the 2025 Arab Cup held in Qatar.

Two Mistakes Give Tunisia the Lead

The Tunisian team opened the scoring in the 16th minute after a corner kick from the left side was executed into the penalty area, which Omar Al-Ayouni converted into a goal, taking advantage of the confusion in the Palestinian defense.

In the second half, the Palestinian defense continued to make mistakes, allowing Firas Shawaat to double the lead for the "Eagles of Carthage" in the 51st minute, following a precise pass from Mohamed Ben Ramadan.

Palestinian Comeback

Ten minutes later, Hamid Hamdan reduced the score for Palestine with a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area, bringing hope back to his national team.

In the 85th minute, the Palestinian comeback was completed when Zaid Qanbar unleashed a shot from inside the penalty area that found the back of the net, giving his team a valuable point.

With this result, the Palestinian national team tops the first group standings with 4 points, while the Tunisian team earned its first point in the tournament.

A match between Qatar and Syria is currently taking place as part of the same group in the 2025 Arab Cup.
