تلقى المدرب المخضرم جوزيه مورينيو خسارته الأوروبية الأولى مع بنفيكا البرتغالي في ولايته الثانية، أمام تشيلسي الإنجليزي بهدف دون رد، في المباراة التي جمعتهما أمس (الثلاثاء) ضمن الجولة الثانية من دوري أبطال أوروبا، على ملعب «ستامفورد بريدج» معقل «البلوز».
وهتفت جماهير تشيلسي باسم مدربها السابق «سبيشال ون»، الذي سبق أن قاد الفريق لتحقيق 3 ألقاب في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، ورد مورينيو بقبلة تجاه الجماهير، في لقطة تعكس الود المتبادل بين الطرفين.
وجاء هدف المباراة الوحيد في الدقيقة 18، بعد تمريرة من بيدرو نيتو إلى أليخاندرو غارناتشو عند القائم البعيد، حاول ريتشارد ريوس لاعب بنفيكا إبعادها، لكنه أسكنها خطأ في مرمى فريقه.
بهذا الفوز، حصد تشيلسي أول 3 نقاط في البطولة القارية هذا الموسم، ليتقدم إلى المركز الـ17، فيما تراجع بنفيكا إلى المركز الـ30 دون أي نقاط.
وكان بنفيكا قد أعلن في 18 سبتمبر الماضي عن عودة المدرب جوزيه مورينيو لقيادة الفريق، بعد 25 عاماً من تجربته الأولى مع النادي.

The only goal of the match came in the 18th minute, after a pass from Pedro Neto to Alejandro Garnacho at the far post. Benfica's Richard Rios attempted to clear it, but he mistakenly put it into his own net.
With this victory, Chelsea earned their first 3 points in the continental competition this season, moving up to 17th place, while Benfica dropped to 30th place without any points.
Benfica had announced on September 18 that coach José Mourinho was returning to lead the team, 25 years after his first experience with the club.
