تتراجع مكانة المدرب البرتغالي جوزيه مورينيو يوماً بعد يوم، بعدما قدّم تجربة باهتة مع فنربخشة التركي، تضع مسيرته عند مفترق طرق حاسم.
وأعلن نادي فنربخشة، اليوم (الجمعة)، إقالة مورينيو بعد فشله في قيادة الفريق للتأهل إلى مرحلة الدوري في دوري أبطال أوروبا.
فترة التدريب الأخيرة للمدرب المُلقب بـ«السبيشال وان» لم تستمر سوى عام واحد، في تجربة خارج الدوريات الأوروبية الخمسة الكبرى، وهي تجربة تُثير التساؤلات حول مستقبله، خاصة مع بلوغه الـ62 من العمر، وسط مؤشرات على أن الأندية الكبرى لم تعد مستعدة للمغامرة بالتعاقد مع مدرب يبدو أن أفضل أيامه قد ولّت.
وجاءت الهزيمة أمام بنفيكا في التصفيات المؤهلة لدوري الأبطال، يوم الأربعاء، كضربة جديدة لسمعة مورينيو، الذي كان يُعدّ في وقتٍ سابق أحد أفضل المدربين في العالم.
مورينيو - الفائز بلقب دوري أبطال أوروبا مع كل من بورتو وإنتر ميلان - لم يشارك في المرحلة الرئيسية من البطولة العريقة منذ ستة مواسم، ورغم تحقيقه لقب دوري المؤتمر الأوروبي مع روما عام 2022، إلا أن فترته مع النادي الإيطالي بين عامي 2021 و2024 كانت مليئة بالتوترات، وهي الخلافات نفسها التي ظهرت مجدداً خلال فترته القصيرة والفوضوية مع فنربخشة.
وفي فبراير الماضي، قرر الاتحاد التركي لكرة القدم إيقاف مورينيو لأربع مباريات وفرض غرامة قدرها 35 ألف جنيه إسترليني، على خلفية تصريحات مسيئة للتحكيم وكرة القدم التركية.
وفي أبريل، تعرّض لعقوبة جديدة بالإيقاف لثلاث مباريات وغرامة تُقدّر بـ6 آلاف جنيه إسترليني، بعد أن قام بحركة مثيرة للجدل تجاه أوكان بوروك، مدرب غلطة سراي، عقب مواجهة في كأس تركيا.
غادر مورينيو فنربخشة دون أن يحقق أي لقب، كما فشل في قيادته إلى مرحلة الدوري في دوري أبطال أوروبا لموسمين متتاليين، واكتفى بوصافة الدوري التركي في الموسم الماضي برصيد 84 نقطة، بفارق 11 نقطة خلف غلطة سراي، حامل اللقب.
إجمالاً، خاض مورينيو مع فنربخشة 62 مباراة في مختلف المسابقات، فاز في 37، وتعادل في 14، وخسر 11 لقاءً.

Today (Friday), Fenerbahçe announced Mourinho's dismissal after he failed to lead the team to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The last coaching stint for the coach nicknamed "The Special One" lasted only one year, in an experience outside the top five European leagues, raising questions about his future, especially as he reaches the age of 62, amid indications that major clubs are no longer willing to take a risk on hiring a coach whose best days seem to be behind him.
The defeat against Benfica in the qualifying rounds for the Champions League on Wednesday was another blow to Mourinho's reputation, who was once considered one of the best coaches in the world.
Mourinho - who won the Champions League title with both Porto and Inter Milan - has not participated in the main stage of the prestigious tournament for six seasons, and despite winning the UEFA Conference League title with Roma in 2022, his time with the Italian club from 2021 to 2024 was filled with tensions, the same disputes that re-emerged during his short and chaotic period with Fenerbahçe.
In February, the Turkish Football Federation decided to suspend Mourinho for four matches and imposed a fine of £35,000 due to offensive remarks about refereeing and Turkish football.
In April, he faced another penalty of a three-match suspension and a fine of £6,000 after making a controversial gesture towards Okan Buruk, the Galatasaray coach, following a match in the Turkish Cup.
Mourinho left Fenerbahçe without winning any titles, and he failed to lead the team to the group stage of the Champions League for two consecutive seasons, finishing as runners-up in the Turkish league last season with 84 points, 11 points behind Galatasaray, the defending champion.
Overall, Mourinho managed Fenerbahçe in 62 matches across all competitions, winning 37, drawing 14, and losing 11.
