نفى نادي نيوكاسل يونايتد ادعاء السويدي ألكسندر إيزاك، مهاجم الفريق، بشأن تلقيه وعداً من إدارة النادي بالسماح له بالمغادرة خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الجارية، وسط تقارير تفيد باهتمام ليفربول بالتعاقد معه.
وجاء في بيان رسمي أصدره النادي: «نشعر بخيبة أمل إزاء ما نُشر على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي من قِبل ألكسندر إيزاك هذا المساء، نود أن نوضح بشكل قاطع أن أليكس لا يزال مرتبطاً بعقد مع النادي، ولم يصدر عن أي مسؤول في نيوكاسل يونايتد وعد أو التزام بالسماح له بالمغادرة هذا الصيف».
وأضاف: «نرغب في الاحتفاظ بأفضل لاعبينا، لكننا نتفهم أيضاً أن لكل لاعب طموحاته، ونحن نصغي لآرائهم، ومع ذلك، وكما أوضحنا لإيزاك وممثليه، فإن مصلحة نيوكاسل يونايتد، والفريق، وجماهيرنا تأتي دائماً في المقام الأول، وقد أكدنا أن الشروط اللازمة لإتمام بيعه هذا الصيف لم تتحقق، ولا نتوقع أن تتحقق هذه الشروط».
وختم النادي بيانه: «نحن نادٍ نعتز بتقاليدنا العريقة، ونعمل جاهدين للحفاظ على روح العائلة داخل النادي، وسيظل إيزاك جزءاً من هذه العائلة، وسنرحب به مجدداً عندما يكون مستعداً للعودة والانضمام إلى زملائه».
Newcastle United has denied the claim made by Swedish striker Alexander Isak regarding receiving a promise from the club's management to allow him to leave during the ongoing summer transfer window, amidst reports of Liverpool's interest in signing him.
The club issued an official statement saying: “We are disappointed by what has been posted on social media by Alexander Isak this evening. We would like to clarify unequivocally that Alex is still under contract with the club, and no official from Newcastle United has made any promise or commitment to allow him to leave this summer.”
It added: “We want to keep our best players, but we also understand that every player has their ambitions, and we listen to their views. However, as we have made clear to Isak and his representatives, the interests of Newcastle United, the team, and our fans always come first, and we have confirmed that the conditions necessary for his sale this summer have not been met, and we do not expect those conditions to be met.”
The club concluded its statement: “We are a club that takes pride in our rich traditions, and we work hard to maintain the family spirit within the club. Isak will remain a part of this family, and we will welcome him back when he is ready to return and join his teammates.”
