يخوض فريق إنتر ميامي لقاء مهما ومصيريا أمام فريق بوماس أونام المكسيكي في اللقاء الذي سيقام فجر يوم غد (الخميس) ويغيب أسطورة الأرجنتين ليونيل ميسي عن المواجهة بسبب مشكلة عضلية، وفقا لما أعلنه مواطنه مدرب الفريق الأمريكي خافيير ماسشيرانو للصحفيين في المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عقده قبل اللقاء المنتظر.
وكان النجم ميسي قد تعرّض لإصابة في أعلى ساقه اليمنى وذلك خلال فوز فريقه على نيكاكسا المكسيكي ضمن البطولة عينها السبت الماضي، وأعلن نادي إنتر ميامي وقتها في بيان إعلامي أن اللاعب ميسي قد شعر بالإصابة خلال مباراة كأس الدوريات ضد نيكاكسا المكسيكي والتي أجبرته على مغادرة الملعب، لقد أكدت النتائج وجود إصابة عضلية طفيفة في ساقه اليمنى.
ولم يؤكد نادي إنتر ميامي وقتها في بيانه موعد عودة اللاعب ميسي للملاعب، إذ اختتم البيان بأنه سيتم تحديد جاهزيته الطبية بناءً على تقدمه السريري واستجابته للعلاج ولم تُحدد مدة غيابه عن الملاعب.
وقال ماسشيرانو للصحفيين في المؤتمر الصحفي «عادة ما يتعافى بشكل جيد جدا من الإصابات، والأهم أنه يفعل ذلك عادة بسرعة، لذا سنرى. لكن من الواضح أنه لن يكون متوفرا غدا. ولكن سنرى بعد ذلك كيف يشعر وكيف يتحسّن».
وسيدخل إنتر ميامي لقاءه أمام بوماس المكسيكي بحثاً عن الفوز ولا غيره للتأهل للدور ربع النهائي للبطولة.
