أعلن نادي برشلونة الإسباني تجديد عقد حارس مرماه البولندي فويتشيك تشيزني لمدة موسمين، بعد تألقه اللافت في الموسم الماضي.
وقال النادي الإسباني في بيان: «توصل نادي برشلونة والحارس فويتشيك تشيزني إلى اتفاق يقضي بتجديد عقده حتى 30 يونيو 2027».
ويأتي هذا التجديد بعد موسم استثنائي قدمه الحارس البولندي، إذ عاد من الاعتزال في صيف 2024 لسد الفراغ الذي خلفه غياب الحارس الأساسي مارك أندريه تير شتيغن، بعد إصابته بقطع في الرباط الصليبي.
وشارك تشيزني في 30 مباراة بقميص برشلونة خلال موسم 2024-2025، حافظ خلالها على نظافة شباكه في 14 مباراة، ولم يتعرض الفريق لأي هزيمة في الدوري الإسباني خلال مشاركته.
وتُعد تجربة تشيزني مع برشلونة محطة جديدة تضاف إلى مسيرته الرائعة، إذ سبق له أن أعلن اعتزاله في أغسطس 2024، قبل أن يتراجع عن قراره بعد تلقيه عرضاً من النادي الكتالوني.
ويمتلك الحارس البولندي خبرة كبيرة، بعدما دافع عن ألوان أندية أوروبية عريقة مثل أرسنال وروما ويوفينتوس.
وبعد مساهمته في تحقيق الثلاثية المحلية مع برشلونة هذا الموسم، يكون تشيزني قد رفع رصيده إلى 14 لقباً خلال مسيرته الاحترافية، التي شهدت مشاركته في أكثر من 500 مباراة في مختلف البطولات.
FC Barcelona has announced the renewal of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny's contract for two more seasons, following his remarkable performance last season.
The Spanish club stated in a press release: "FC Barcelona and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny have reached an agreement to extend his contract until June 30, 2027."
This renewal comes after an exceptional season for the Polish goalkeeper, who returned from retirement in the summer of 2024 to fill the gap left by the absence of first-choice goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury.
Szczęsny participated in 30 matches wearing the Barcelona jersey during the 2024-2025 season, keeping a clean sheet in 14 of those matches, and the team did not suffer any defeats in La Liga during his participation.
Szczęsny's experience with Barcelona adds a new chapter to his impressive career, as he had previously announced his retirement in August 2024, only to reverse his decision after receiving an offer from the Catalan club.
The Polish goalkeeper has significant experience, having represented prestigious European clubs such as Arsenal, Roma, and Juventus.
After contributing to winning the domestic treble with Barcelona this season, Szczęsny has raised his tally to 14 titles during his professional career, which has seen him participate in over 500 matches across various competitions.
