أكدت صحيفة «آس» الإسبانية أن نادي برشلونة لكرة القدم يعتزم سداد مستحقات نجمه السابق الأسطوري ليونيل ميسي المتبقية، وهي خطوة تأخرت لسنوات عدة.
ووفقًا للصحيفة، سيدفع برشلونة لميسي 5.95 مليون يورو اليوم (الاثنين)، وهي القيمة المتبقية من عقده السابق مع النادي، بعد رحيله في صيف 2021 إلى باريس سان جيرمان ثم انتقاله إلى إنتر ميامي في الولايات المتحدة.
وسمحت رابطة الدوري الإسباني للأندية خلال جائحة كوفيد-19 بتأجيل دفع بعض الرواتب والمزايا، وهي خطوة لجأ إليها برشلونة لتخفيف الضغط المالي الذي كان يعاني منه آنذاك.
كما يستعد النادي الكتالوني لتسوية مستحقات سيرجيو بوسكيتس وجوردي ألبا المتأخرة، والمقدرة بنحو مليوني يورو، بعد رحيل اللاعبين.
وكشفت الصحيفة وجود لاعبين حاليين في برشلونة لديهم مستحقات مؤجلة، أبرزهم رونالد أراوخو، وبيدري، وأنسو فاتي، وإيناكي بينيا. في المقابل، رفض مارك أندريه تير شتيغن وفرينكي دي يونغ سابقًا تأجيل أو تخفيض مستحقاتهما.

The Spanish newspaper "AS" confirmed that FC Barcelona intends to pay the outstanding dues of its legendary former star Lionel Messi, a step that has been delayed for several years.
According to the newspaper, Barcelona will pay Messi €5.95 million today (Monday), which is the remaining amount from his previous contract with the club, after his departure in the summer of 2021 to Paris Saint-Germain and then his transfer to Inter Miami in the United States.
The Spanish League allowed clubs to postpone the payment of some salaries and benefits during the COVID-19 pandemic, a step that Barcelona resorted to in order to alleviate the financial pressure it was facing at that time.
The Catalan club is also preparing to settle the overdue dues of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, estimated at around €2 million, following the players' departures.
The newspaper revealed that there are current players at Barcelona with deferred dues, most notably Ronald Araújo, Pedri, Ansu Fati, and Iñaki Peña. In contrast, Marc-André ter Stegen and Frenkie de Jong previously refused to defer or reduce their dues.
