حقق منتخب جامايكا فوزاً ثميناً 2/1 على منتخب جوادلوب في الجولة الثانية بالمجموعة الثالثة من بطولة الكأس الذهبية المقامة حاليا في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا.
وبادر تيري أمبروسي بالتسجيل لمصلحة منتخب جوادلوب في الدقيقة 32، لكن سرعان ما أدرك منتخب جامايكا التعادل بواسطة ليون بايلي في الدقيقة 41، وسجّل جون راسيل الهدف الثاني لمنتخب جامايكا في الدقيقة الرابعة من الوقت المحتسب بدلاً من الضائع للشوط الثاني.
وبهذه النتيجة حصل منتخب جامايكا على أول 3 نقاط في مسيرته بالبطولة، في حين بقي منتخب جوادلوب في ذيل الترتيب بلا رصيد من النقاط.
كما فاز منتخب بنما على منتخب غواتيمالا في المجموعة نفسها، بهدف دون رد، ورفع منتخب بنما رصيده إلى 6 نقاط في صدارة الترتيب، فيما بقي منتخب غواتيمالا في المركز الثالث بفارق الأهداف خلف منتخب جامايكا صاحب المركز الثاني المتساوي معه في ذات الرصيد البالغ 3 نقاط.

The Panama national team also defeated the Guatemala national team in the same group, with a score of 1-0, bringing Panama's total to 6 points at the top of the standings, while Guatemala remained in third place on goal difference behind Jamaica, which is in second place with the same total of 3 points.
