أعلن موقع رابطة الدوري العراقي اختتام منافسات الموسم الكروي 2024/2025، الذي استمر لمدة 9 أشهر و14 يوماً، مؤكداً توافق هذه الفترة مع المعايير الزمنية المعتمدة في الدوريات الكبرى عالمياً. وشارك في البطولة 20 فريقاً.
وأظهرت إحصائية نشرها الموقع مقارنة بين مدة الموسم العراقي ونظيراتها في عدد من الدوريات الأوروبية والآسيوية، حيث سجل الدوري الإسباني 9 أشهر و15 يوماً، الإنجليزي 9 أشهر و10 أيام، الإيطالي 9 أشهر و11 يوماً، الفرنسي 9 أشهر و14 يوماً، السعودي والياباني 9 أشهر و16 يوماً.
وأكد الموقع أن هذه المقاربة في مدة الموسم تدل على تطور تنظيم المسابقة واحترافية إدارة دوري نجوم العراق، بما يتوافق مع المعايير العالمية لإدارة البطولات المحلية.
وأشار إلى أن التحدي القادم يكمن في ضبط موعد انطلاق الموسم الجديد لتجنب التراكم الزمني بين المواسم، لافتاً إلى أن الموسم الماضي انتهى في 15 يوليو بينما اختُتم الموسم الحالي في 4 يوليو، ما يشير إلى تحسن في الجدولة الزمنية لكنه يحتاج لمزيد من التنسيق.
وشدد على أن الهدف المستقبلي يتمثل في مزامنة ختام الدوري العراقي مع الدوريات الأوروبية أو تقليل الفارق الزمني إلى الحد الأدنى، ما يمنح الأندية واللاعبين فرصاً أفضل للتحضير للاستحقاقات القارية والدولية.
كما أوضح أن هناك تخطيطاً مستمراً للوصول إلى روزنامة متكاملة خلال العام أو العامين القادمين، تتضمن إقامة بطولة الكأس المحلية بالتوازي مع الدوري، على غرار التجارب العالمية، لتعزيز التنافسية وتطوير كرة القدم العراقية على المدى البعيد.

The Iraqi League Association website announced the conclusion of the 2024/2025 football season, which lasted for 9 months and 14 days, confirming that this period aligns with the time standards adopted in major leagues worldwide. A total of 20 teams participated in the tournament.
The website published statistics comparing the duration of the Iraqi season with those of several European and Asian leagues, where the Spanish league recorded 9 months and 15 days, the English league 9 months and 10 days, the Italian league 9 months and 11 days, the French league 9 months and 14 days, and the Saudi and Japanese leagues 9 months and 16 days.
The website emphasized that this comparison in season duration indicates the development of the competition's organization and the professionalism of the management of the Iraqi Stars League, in accordance with global standards for managing local championships.
It pointed out that the upcoming challenge lies in scheduling the start of the new season to avoid temporal overlap between seasons, noting that the previous season ended on July 15 while the current season concluded on July 4, indicating an improvement in scheduling but requiring further coordination.
It stressed that the future goal is to synchronize the conclusion of the Iraqi league with European leagues or to minimize the time gap to the lowest possible level, which would provide clubs and players with better opportunities to prepare for continental and international commitments.
It also clarified that there is ongoing planning to achieve a comprehensive calendar over the next year or two, which includes holding the local cup tournament in parallel with the league, similar to global practices, to enhance competitiveness and develop Iraqi football in the long term.
