افتتح الأهلي التسجيل في الدقيقة 18 عن طريق عمر الساعي، لكن محمود شلاطة أدرك التعادل في الدقيقة 32، قبل أن يعيد المغربي أشرف بن شرقي المارد الأحمر إلى المقدمة، قبل دقيقتين من نهاية الوقت الأصلي للشوط الأول.
واستمرت الإثارة في الشوط الثاني، إذ أعاد حازم أبو سنة المباراة إلى نقطة التعادل في الدقيقة 54، ثم سجل لاعب الأهلي ياسين مرعي هدفاً بالخطأ في مرماه في الدقيقة 80.
وأنقذ المدافع المغربي أشرف داري الأهلي من الخسارة، بعدما سجل هدفاً قاتلاً في الوقت المحتسب بدلاً من الضائع.
ترتيب الفريقين
بهذه النتيجة، رفع الأهلي رصيده إلى 17 نقطة في المركز الثاني بجدول ترتيب الدوري المصري، متأخراً بأربع نقاط عن بيراميدز المتصدر، بينما رفع القناة رصيده إلى 8 نقاط في المركز الحادي عشر.

Match Goals
Al Ahly opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Omar Al-Sa'i, but Mahmoud Shalata equalized in the 32nd minute, before Moroccan Ashraf Ben Sharqi put the Red Giants back in the lead two minutes before the end of the first half's regular time.
The excitement continued in the second half, as Hazem Abu Sanna brought the match back to a tie in the 54th minute, then Al Ahly's player Yassin Marai scored an own goal in the 80th minute.
Moroccan defender Ashraf Dari saved Al Ahly from defeat by scoring a dramatic goal in the injury time.
Teams' Standings
With this result, Al Ahly raised their tally to 17 points, placing them second in the Egyptian league standings, four points behind the leaders Pyramids, while Al Qana increased their points to 8, sitting in eleventh place.
