While the Houthi militia claimed to have thwarted an attack targeting its positions in Sana'a, reliable sources in the capital confirmed to "Okaz" the death of four militia leaders, including experts from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, in two operations carried out by the Yemeni army targeting military headquarters in Dhahr Hamir in the Azal district in central Sana'a, and Jabal Naqm east of the capital.
The sources reported that initial information indicates the death of the Houthi security official in the Dhahr Hamir center, known as "Abu Ahmed al-Madani," along with several other leaders, while three others were seriously injured and were urgently transported to the military hospital.
Following the attack that occurred early yesterday (Friday), the militia fired randomly around the targeted sites and at passing cars in the neighboring streets, and closed several roads, coinciding with the imposition of strict security measures and checkpoints in the streets of Sana'a.

A military source told "Okaz" that the two attacks were carried out using kamikaze drones, in a synchronized and calculated manner, targeting two main sites; the first in Dhahr Hamir, which includes a security command and control center where Houthi leaders are present, including elements linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and the second an intelligence headquarters in Jabal Naqm, managed by the militia with the participation of elements and experts from Iran and Hezbollah.
The source clarified that the Jabal Naqm headquarters is used, according to available information, for eavesdropping on the communications of Yemenis and coordinating missile and drone launch operations, indicating that the simultaneous execution of the two strikes confused the militia and weakened its ability to maneuver in the skies of Sana'a, while the state of alert continued for hours.
Military sources told "Okaz" that the drones used in the operation belong to a long-range category, capable of flying for hours before precisely striking their targets, and carrying warheads weighing up to about 50 kilograms, noting that this type was used to target militia leaders, their military sites, and weapon depots.
The sources confirmed that what was used in the operation does not represent, as described, the maximum capabilities of the drones available to the Yemeni army, indicating that there are more capable drones that have not yet been used.
Yemeni activists circulated images of drones in the skies of Sana'a via social media platforms, while videos showed Houthi elements firing personal weapons at them, amidst a state of confusion within the militia.
The military spokesperson for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, appeared yesterday in a statement acknowledging the occurrence of the attack on militia sites, but he did not reveal the results of the strikes or the extent of the resulting losses.
