The scientific and advocacy components in the communication program with the scholars of Yemen today (Sunday) warned the Yemeni people against standing with the terrorist Houthi militia, engaging in its ranks, or supporting it, describing the Houthi militia as a "deviant, rogue, rebellious, aggressive group that is outside the legal and national consensus."
They accused the Houthis of assaulting blood, property, and sanctities, and working within the agenda of the Iranian project in the region, affirming that supporting the Yemeni people in various provinces and backing the legitimate government to restore state institutions and end the coup is a "religious duty" aimed at preserving the five fundamental values that Islamic law has agreed to protect: religion, life, intellect, honor, and property.
The components stated that the legal ruling that applies to the Houthi militia is that they are a "deviant, rogue, rebellious, aggressive group" that spreads polytheism, misguidance, innovations, and superstitions, distorts Islamic doctrine, denies the prophetic Sunnah, and distorts the meanings of the Quran to align with their whims, in addition to working within the agenda of the Iranian project, aiming to make Yemen subordinate to Iran's project and a platform for threatening neighboring countries, international navigation, and waterways.
The statement emphasized that the militia has "departed from the legal and national consensus," and has assaulted blood, property, and sanctities, seeking to impose a "racial, sectarian system," stressing the prohibition of standing with, supporting, or fighting alongside them against the Yemeni people, citing a prophetic saying regarding those who separate from the community and die in that state, considering that its descriptions apply, according to the statement, to the Houthi militia.
The scientific and advocacy components called on the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and its members to take the necessary steps for victory, foremost among them activating all fronts, addressing existing imbalances in state institutions, combating corruption, and unifying the decisions of military and security institutions, indicating that restoring state institutions and ending the coup is essential for protecting Yemen and preserving its fundamental components.
They urged the tribes of Yemen and all segments of society in areas under Houthi control not to engage with them in fighting their fellow Yemenis, and to be wary of their lies and deceptions, warning against dragging tribesmen and community members into battles, and affirming that preserving blood and safeguarding the national fabric should take precedence over any tribal considerations or transient interests.
The statement warned against stirring up tribal, regional, partisan, or advocacy affiliations that it said undermine religious and national cohesion and serve the enemy, as well as cautioning against exploiting media and rhetorical platforms to sow discord or promote discourses that weaken the national front, calling for prioritizing the higher national interest over various considerations.
They also urged the components not to accept or spread rumors, slanders, and accusations of treachery and questioning intentions, considering that psychological warfare is no less dangerous than armed conflict, and called for verifying news and refraining from circulating information of unknown sources, relying on accredited official sources.
They emphasized the necessity of reviving the values of solidarity and compassion among the Yemeni people, extending a helping hand to the displaced fleeing from the oppression of the Houthi militia, urging the community to stand by them and support them in light of the circumstances they are experiencing.
In a message of appreciation, the scientific and advocacy components expressed their gratitude to the countries and peoples that stand in solidarity with the Yemeni people, particularly thanking Saudi Arabia, its leadership, government, and people, for their efforts, support, and assistance to the Yemeni people and their legitimate government, praying to God to reward the Kingdom with the best reward and to preserve the land of the Two Holy Mosques and maintain its security and stability.
They called on scholars, preachers, media professionals, and community leaders to fulfill their religious duty in educating Yemenis about the dangers of the Houthi militia's project, working to mend relations and overcome personal, advocacy, and tribal disputes, spreading a culture of brotherhood and tranquility, and mobilizing energies to stand united against threats to Yemen's religion, sovereignty, and security.
They concluded their statement by affirming that unifying ranks, taking necessary actions, and seeking help from God leads to victory, expressing their conviction that "the removal of this rebellious, aggressive group is imminent."
