توعد مساعد قائد قطاع أمن الساحل الغربي العقيد مأمون المهجمي، بتحويل الساحل الغربي إلى مقبرة للمليشيا الحوثية، كاشفاً عن بدء الطيران الجوي عملياته في مديرية المخا وما جاورها للقضاء على الحوثيين.
وقال المهجمي في تصريحات لـ«عكاظ»: المليشيا الحوثية لم تدخل مناطقنا بقوتها ولا بضغطها ولكن نحن من انسحبنا تكتيكياً وسنعود إلى مناطقنا والترتيبات جارية بالتنسيق مع التحالف.
وأضاف: الترتيبات الجارية تشمل ترتيب غرفة العمليات والقيادة والسيطرة والتنسيق بين القوات، مبيناً أن القوات بكامل عتادها موجودة وهناك قوات وتعزيزات كبيرة والطيران تدخل بقوة والأباتشي سيتدخل خلال الساعات القادمة ونحن من سندير المعركة القادمة وليس الحوثي.

وأشار إلى أن الحرب تارة بتارة ولكن لن نتراجع واثقون من قدرات قواتنا، والانسحاب لم يكن هزيمة حوثية ولم يكن تحت ضغط الحوثي ولكن كان عملاً وقراراً عسكرياً بحتاً اتخذ للحفاظ على تماسك القوات وصلابتها بل يؤسس لحرب فعلية وتنهي المليشيا الحوثية وتستعيد العاصمة صنعاء وكل المحافظات اليمنية.
ولفت إلى أن الانسحاب كان هدفه استدراج المليشيا من الجبال وأحراشها إلى الساحل والمناطق المفتوحة لاصطيادها من الطيران بشكل سهل، مؤكداً أن الشعب اليمني طواق للحرية وقواته لن تخذله والأيام القادمة ستكون هي النهائية الفعلية للحوثي.
ولفت إلى أن الساحل الغربي سيكون الجحيم للمليشيا وسيضع الحوثي أمام واقع جديد ربما كان يجهله حين قرر النزول إلى الساحل الغربي.
في غضون ذلك، قالت مصادر عسكرية ميدانية لـ«عكاظ» إن القوات في منطقة الكدحة غربي تعز ثبتت مواقعها وقطعت الإمدادات على المليشيا الحوثية، فيما قال شهود عيان إن انفجارات طوال الليل كانت تسمع بشكل متقطع في المخا، وفي الصباح شوهدت المقاتلات تقصف تجمعات المليشيا جوار مطار المخا.
The Assistant Commander of the Western Coast Security Sector, Colonel Mamoun Al-Mahjami, vowed to turn the western coast into a graveyard for the Houthi militia, revealing that air operations have begun in the Al-Mokha district and its surroundings to eliminate the Houthis.
Al-Mahjami stated in remarks to "Okaz": The Houthi militia did not enter our areas by force or pressure, but we withdrew tactically and will return to our areas; arrangements are underway in coordination with the coalition.
He added: The ongoing arrangements include setting up the operations room, command and control, and coordination among the forces, indicating that the forces are fully equipped and there are significant reinforcements, with air support entering strongly, and Apache helicopters will intervene in the coming hours. We will manage the upcoming battle, not the Houthis.

He pointed out that the war is ongoing, but we will not retreat; we are confident in the capabilities of our forces. The withdrawal was not a Houthi defeat and was not under Houthi pressure, but rather a purely military action and decision made to maintain the cohesion and resilience of the forces. It actually lays the groundwork for a real war that will end the Houthi militia and restore the capital, Sana'a, and all Yemeni governorates.
He noted that the purpose of the withdrawal was to lure the militia from the mountains and their thickets to the coast and open areas to easily target them from the air, emphasizing that the Yemeni people yearn for freedom, and their forces will not let them down; the coming days will be the actual end for the Houthis.
He pointed out that the western coast will be hell for the militia and will place the Houthis in a new reality that they may have been unaware of when they decided to descend to the western coast.
Meanwhile, military field sources told "Okaz" that the forces in the Al-Kadah area west of Taiz have established their positions and cut off supplies to the Houthi militia, while eyewitnesses reported that explosions were heard intermittently throughout the night in Al-Mokha, and in the morning, fighter jets were seen bombing militia gatherings near Al-Mokha Airport.
