اتهمت الشبكة اليمنية للحقوق والحريات (الخميس)، مليشيا الحوثي بارتكاب 36179 جريمة وانتهاك بحق الأطفال في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية، خلال الفترة من 1 يناير 2017 وحتى 8 سبتمبر 2026.
وذكرت الشبكة في تقرير لها بعنوان «أطفال اليمن من المدارس إلى المتارس»، أن فريقها وثق مقتل 5495 طفلاً، بينهم 712 رضيعًا، وإصابة 3972 آخرين برصاص قناصة مليشيا الحوثي، والمقذوفات العشوائية التي استهدفت الأحياء السكنية، والألغام التي زرعتها المليشيا، مبينة أن المليشيا الحوثية ارتكبت 317 جريمة اختطاف وإخفاء قسري بحق الأطفال.
وأشار التقرير إلى أن نحو 117 طفلًا مختطفًا في سجون المليشيا تعرضوا لشتى أنواع التعذيب الجسدي والنفسي، بينهم تسعة أطفال تم تعذيبهم حتى الموت، كما خضع نحو 18 طفلًا للتعذيب النفسي والجسدي في سجون المليشيا، إضافة إلى توثيق 53 حالة اغتصاب لأطفال في مختلف المحافظات اليمنية.
ووثق فريق الشبكة مقتل نحو 9728 طفلاً مجندًا ممن جرى تشييعهم في مواكب جنائزية معلنة، كما أصيب 12730 طفلاً مجنداً، لافتاً إلى أن الانتهاكات التي مارستها مليشيا الحوثي تسببت في تهجير وتشريد 49965 طفلاً ما ضاعف من معاناتهم وعرّضهم لفقدان المأوى والتعليم والرعاية الصحية والحماية الاجتماعية، وأجبر آلاف الأسر على الانتقال إلى مناطق أخرى بحثًا عن الأمن.
وأشارت الشبكة إلى أن تجنيد الأطفال وإشراكهم في العمليات العسكرية يمثل انتهاكًا جسيمًا للقانون الدولي، ويجب أن يتوقف فوراً، معربة عن بالغ قلقها إزاء استمرار مليشيا الحوثي في تجنيد الأطفال واستخدامهم في عملياتها العسكرية.
وذكرت أن هناك تقارير دولية تتحدث عن تجنيد الحوثيين لأكثر من 42000 طفل. وفيما يتعلق بعلاقة الوضع الاقتصادي بما يتعرض له الأطفال، أوضح التقرير أن أكثر من 4 ملايين طفل جرى الدفع بهم إلى سوق العمل بحثًا عن مصدر دخل وفرصة عمل تساعد أسرهم على مواجهة الظروف المعيشية القاسية، مبيناً أن فريق الشبكة رصد وفاة 37 طفلاً جوعًا في المحافظات التي تسيطر عليها مليشيا الحوثي خلال الأشهر الخمسة الأخيرة من العام الحالي.
ولفت التقرير إلى أن نحو 4.5 مليون طفل حُرموا من التعليم، نتيجة تداعيات الحرب وتحويل المنشآت التعليمية إلى ثكنات عسكرية للمليشيا ومعسكرات لتدريب المجندين.
وحذرت الشبكة من حرمان ملايين الأطفال من التعليم، بالتوازي مع تجنيد الأطفال والتعبئة الفكرية والعسكرية، مؤكدة أنه يمثل خطراً لا يقتصر على حاضر الأطفال فحسب، بل يمتد إلى مستقبل المجتمع اليمني بأكمله.
وطالبت الشبكة اليمنية للحقوق والحريات المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الدولية بتحمل مسؤولياتها القانونية والأخلاقية تجاه ما يتعرض له الأطفال في اليمن من انتهاكات جسيمة، وممارسة الضغط الفاعل على مليشيا الحوثي، واستخدام الآليات والوسائل القانونية والدبلوماسية المتاحة، بما فيها قرارات الأمم المتحدة ومجلس الأمن، لمنع مواصلة هذه الانتهاكات وإلزامها باحترام القوانين الوطنية والاتفاقيات والمواثيق الدولية ذات الصلة.
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms (Thursday) accused the Houthi militia of committing 36,179 crimes and violations against children in various Yemeni governorates, during the period from January 1, 2017, to September 8, 2026.
The network mentioned in its report titled "Children of Yemen: From Schools to Trenches," that its team documented the killing of 5,495 children, including 712 infants, and the injury of 3,972 others from the gunfire of Houthi snipers, random projectiles targeting residential neighborhoods, and mines planted by the militia. It indicated that the Houthi militia committed 317 crimes of kidnapping and enforced disappearance against children.
The report pointed out that about 117 kidnapped children in the militia's prisons were subjected to various forms of physical and psychological torture, including nine children who were tortured to death. Additionally, around 18 children underwent psychological and physical torture in the militia's prisons, along with documenting 53 cases of rape of children in various Yemeni governorates.
The network's team documented the deaths of about 9,728 child soldiers who were buried in announced funeral processions, and 12,730 child soldiers were injured. It noted that the violations committed by the Houthi militia caused the displacement and homelessness of 49,965 children, which exacerbated their suffering and exposed them to loss of shelter, education, healthcare, and social protection, forcing thousands of families to move to other areas in search of safety.
The network indicated that the recruitment of children and their involvement in military operations constitutes a serious violation of international law and must stop immediately, expressing its deep concern over the continued recruitment of children by the Houthi militia and their use in military operations.
It mentioned that there are international reports discussing the recruitment of more than 42,000 children by the Houthis. Regarding the relationship between the economic situation and what children are facing, the report clarified that more than 4 million children have been pushed into the labor market in search of a source of income and job opportunities to help their families cope with harsh living conditions, noting that the network's team recorded the deaths of 37 children from starvation in the governorates controlled by the Houthi militia during the last five months of the current year.
The report highlighted that about 4.5 million children have been deprived of education due to the repercussions of the war and the conversion of educational facilities into military barracks for the militia and training camps for recruits.
The network warned of the deprivation of millions of children from education, alongside the recruitment of children and ideological and military mobilization, asserting that this poses a danger not only to the present of the children but also extends to the future of the entire Yemeni society.
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms called on the international community and international organizations to assume their legal and moral responsibilities regarding the serious violations faced by children in Yemen, to exert effective pressure on the Houthi militia, and to utilize the available legal and diplomatic mechanisms and means, including United Nations and Security Council resolutions, to prevent the continuation of these violations and to compel them to respect national laws and relevant international agreements and charters.
