توعّد قائد اللواء الثالث طوارئ، العميد ياسر ثوابة، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، بملاحقة الحوثيين وتحرير كامل محافظة الجوف والوصول إلى صنعاء، مؤكداً تحرير سوق اليتمة بمديرية «خب والشعف» بمحافظة الجوف.
وقال ثوابة، الذي ظهر في فيديو من وسط سوق اليتمة: «تم تحرير اليتمة ومستمرون بالتقدم وملاحقة جيوب الحوثيين في عدد من المناطق».
في الوقت ذاته، قالت مصادر عسكرية لـ«عكاظ» إن الجيش، مسنوداً بمقاتلين قبليين، أحكم سيطرته على معسكر الخنجر الاستراتيجي في محافظة الجوف، وتمكن من تطهير المنطقة المجاورة له. وبحسب المصادر، فإن السيطرة على المعسكر الاستراتيجي شكّلت دعماً مهماً للجيش للتقدم إلى مواقع جديدة، بما فيها السيطرة على منطقة اليتمية.
وذكرت المصادر أن أهمية معسكر الخنجر الاستراتيجي تعود أولاً إلى موقعه في مديرية «خب والشعف» التي تشكّل نحو ثلثي مساحة محافظة الجوف، كما أنه يقع على خطوط إمداد المليشيا، مما ساهم في قطع طرق الإمداد والتحركات العسكرية لها في المحافظة، إضافة إلى أنه ضمن مواقع جبلية وتحصينات طبيعية تمنح الجيش الأفضلية الميدانية والعسكرية لتأمين المناطق المجاورة والتقدم نحو مواقع جديدة، بما فيها عاصمة المحافظة الحزم.
وحذّرت هيئة النقل البري اليمنية من السفر عبر طريق الجوبة-مأرب، كونه منطقة اشتباك عسكري، ودعت إلى استخدام طريق دمت-الضالع-عدن.
وفي المعارك الدائرة غربي تعز والساحل الغربي، يواصل الجيش اليمني تقدمه على مختلف الجبهات وسط تساقط عناصر وقيادات المليشيا بين قتيل وأسير. وبحسب مصادر عسكرية، فإن مسؤول الاستخبارات العسكرية للمنطقة المركزية للمليشيا، أمين أحمد العراسي، المكنى «أبو حسين»، قُتل إلى جانب القيادي جميل ناصر القوبري في مواجهات مع الجيش.
وكانت المليشيا الحوثية قد استهدفت محيط مستشفى 2 ديسمبر بالمخا بصاروخ باليستي، وأدانت وزارة الصحة والسكان اليمنية الاستهداف، وطالبت بإبقاء المستشفيات والمنشآت الصحية بمنأى عن الأعمال العدائية.
The commander of the Third Emergency Brigade, Brigadier Yasser Thawaba, today (Tuesday) vowed to pursue the Houthis and liberate the entire Al-Jawf Governorate, reaching Sana'a, confirming the liberation of the Al-Yatma market in the "Khabb and Sha'af" district of Al-Jawf Governorate.
Thawaba, who appeared in a video from the middle of the Al-Yatma market, said: "Al-Yatma has been liberated, and we are continuing to advance and pursue Houthi pockets in several areas."
At the same time, military sources told "Okaz" that the army, supported by tribal fighters, has tightened its control over the strategic Al-Khanjar camp in Al-Jawf Governorate and managed to clear the surrounding area. According to the sources, the control of the strategic camp has provided significant support for the army to advance to new positions, including the control of the Al-Ytamiyah area.
The sources mentioned that the importance of the strategic Al-Khanjar camp is primarily due to its location in the "Khabb and Sha'af" district, which constitutes about two-thirds of the area of Al-Jawf Governorate. It is also located on the militia's supply lines, which has contributed to cutting off their supply routes and military movements in the governorate. Additionally, it is situated within mountainous areas and natural fortifications that give the army a tactical and military advantage to secure the surrounding areas and advance towards new positions, including the capital of the governorate, Al-Hazm.
The Yemeni Land Transport Authority has warned against traveling via the Al-Juba-Ma'rib road, as it is a military engagement area, and called for using the Damt-Al-Dhalea-Adan road instead.
In the ongoing battles west of Taiz and along the western coast, the Yemeni army continues its advance on various fronts amid the fall of militia members and leaders, either killed or captured. According to military sources, the military intelligence chief for the central region of the militia, Amin Ahmed Al-Arasi, known as "Abu Hussein," was killed along with the leader Jamil Nasser Al-Qoubri in confrontations with the army.
The Houthi militia had targeted the vicinity of the December 2 Hospital in Al-Mokha with a ballistic missile, and the Yemeni Ministry of Health and Population condemned the attack, calling for keeping hospitals and health facilities away from hostile actions.
