أكد الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينج، اليوم (الأربعاء)، أنه أجرى محادثات معمقة بشأن الوضع في المنطقة مع نظيره المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي في القاهرة، معلناً دعم بكين لدول المنطقة في بناء بنية أمنية جديدة للشرق الأوسط.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء الصينية (شينخوا) عن شي الذي بدأ زيارته الرسمية إلى مصر أمس قوله إن شعوب الشرق الأوسط يجب أن تبقى سيدة شؤونها وأن ترفض التدخل الخارجي، مشدداً على ضرورة إيجاد حل شامل للأمن المشترك في الشرق الأوسط.
وأوضح شي أن القضية الفلسطينية لا تزال جوهر قضية الشرق الأوسط ولا ينبغي تجاهلها أو تهميشها، داعياً القوى الخارجية إلى التخلي عن ازدواجية المعايير في الشرق الأوسط.
وشدد على أهمية الدور الفعال للأمم المتحدة في شؤون الشرق الأوسط، موضحاً أن بلاده مستعدة للعمل مع دول الشرق الأوسط لحماية أمن خطوط الشحن الدولية.
وحول التعاون مع مصر، قال شي إن الصين ومصر تعززان التعاون الأمني وتدعمان جهود مكافحة الإرهاب لدى كل منهما، كما توسعان تعاونهما في مجالات الطاقة النظيفة والمركبات الكهربائية والفضاء والاقتصاد الرقمي.
من جانبها، أعلنت الرئاسة المصرية أن الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي وحرمه استقبلا الرئيس الصيني شي جينبينج وحرمه، وبحسب المتحدث باسم الرئاسة المصرية فإنه تم عقد جلسة محادثات موسعة بحضور وفدي البلدين، والتوقيع على اتفاقية وعدد من مذكرات التفاهم.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم الرئاسة المصرية السفير محمد الشناوي أن مصر تعمل على خفض حالة التصعيد في المنطقة وتغليب الحلول الدبلوماسية لتسوية الأزمات وبما يُسهم في تحقيق السلام ودعم التنمية لشعوب المنطقة، مرحباً بتلاقي مواقف البلدين إزاء القضايا الإقليمية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وأكد الشناوي استعداد مصر لمواصلة التنسيق مع كافة الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية، خصوصاً مع الصين كدولة محورية وعضو دائم بمجلس الأمن، لتعزيز الجهود بهدف خفض التوتر الإقليمي ودفع جهود التنمية ومعالجة التحديات الدولية التي لا تستطيع دولة بمفردها التعامل معها، إذ يُمثل هذا اللقاء فرصة مهمة لتبادل الآراء والأفكار في هذا السياق.
وذكر الشناوي أن الزعيمين بحثا عدداً من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، وشددا على توافق الرؤى المصرية الصينية إزاء ضرورة تغليب الوسائل الدبلوماسية للتوصل إلى تسويات شاملة ومستدامة للأزمات والنزاعات، كما ناقشا الجهود الرامية لخفض التصعيد في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وأكدا دعمهما لجهود التوصل إلى اتفاق شامل لوقف الحرب.
وشدد الرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي على أولوية خفض التصعيد واحترام سيادة وأمن دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والأردن وسلامة أراضيها، وضمان حرية الملاحة وتجنيب الشعوب التبعات السلبية للأزمة. كما تطرقت المحادثات إلى تطورات القضية الفلسطينية، مؤكداً ضرورة التوصل إلى تسوية عادلة وفقاً لمقررات الشرعية الدولية.
Chinese President Xi Jinping confirmed today (Wednesday) that he had in-depth discussions regarding the situation in the region with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo, announcing Beijing's support for the countries in the region to build a new security architecture for the Middle East.
The Chinese news agency (Xinhua) reported Xi, who began his official visit to Egypt yesterday, stating that the peoples of the Middle East must remain masters of their own affairs and reject foreign interference, emphasizing the need to find a comprehensive solution for common security in the Middle East.
Xi explained that the Palestinian issue remains the core of the Middle East issue and should not be ignored or marginalized, calling on external powers to abandon double standards in the Middle East.
He stressed the importance of the effective role of the United Nations in Middle Eastern affairs, clarifying that his country is ready to work with Middle Eastern countries to protect the security of international shipping routes.
Regarding cooperation with Egypt, Xi stated that China and Egypt are enhancing security cooperation and supporting each other's counter-terrorism efforts, while also expanding their collaboration in the fields of clean energy, electric vehicles, space, and the digital economy.
For its part, the Egyptian presidency announced that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his wife received Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife. According to the spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, an extensive session of talks was held with the presence of delegations from both countries, and an agreement and several memorandums of understanding were signed.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, explained that Egypt is working to reduce the state of escalation in the region and prioritize diplomatic solutions to resolve crises, contributing to achieving peace and supporting development for the peoples of the region, welcoming the convergence of the two countries' positions on regional issues of mutual interest.
El-Shenawy confirmed Egypt's readiness to continue coordinating with all regional and international parties, especially with China as a pivotal state and a permanent member of the Security Council, to enhance efforts aimed at reducing regional tension and advancing development efforts while addressing international challenges that no single country can handle alone, as this meeting represents an important opportunity to exchange views and ideas in this context.
El-Shenawy mentioned that the two leaders discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the alignment of Egyptian and Chinese visions regarding the necessity of prioritizing diplomatic means to reach comprehensive and sustainable settlements for crises and conflicts. They also discussed efforts aimed at reducing escalation in the Middle East and affirmed their support for efforts to reach a comprehensive agreement to end the war.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized the priority of de-escalation and respecting the sovereignty and security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Jordan, as well as the integrity of their territories, ensuring freedom of navigation and sparing peoples from the negative repercussions of the crisis. The discussions also addressed developments in the Palestinian issue, stressing the need to reach a just settlement in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
