اتهم الجيش اللبناني، اليوم (الأربعاء)، وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية باستهداف المؤسسات العسكرية وقياداتها عبر نشر الشائعات، مؤكداً أن الهدف هو زعزعة الثقة مع اللبنانيين.
وقال الجيش اللبناني في تدوينات على حسابه في «إكس»: برزت في الآونة الأخيرة مزاعم منسوبة إلى وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية معادية، حول مواقف متعلقة بالجيش ومهماته في الجنوب، وغيرها من الأخبار المفبركة.
وأكدت قيادة الجيش اللبناني أن عناصر المؤسسة ملتزمون بتوجيهاتها والمهمات الموكلة إليهم، ويؤدون واجباتهم انطلاقاً من إيمانهم بمسؤوليتهم الوطنية في الدفاع عن سيادة لبنان وأمنه واستقراره، بعيداً عن أي حسابات أو اعتبارات أخرى.
وأشارت القيادة إلى أنها تحظى بثقة الدول الشقيقة والصديقة، التي تواصل دعمها للجيش إيماناً منها بأهمية دوره، لا سيّما في ظل الظروف الاستثنائية والتحديات التي يواجهها لبنان.
وأضافت: إن توقيت إطلاق هذه الشائعات وترويجها، في مرحلة بالغة الدقة والحساسية، يكشف خطورة محاولات استهداف الجيش وقيادته وزرع الشك في صفوف المؤسسة وزعزعة الثقة بينها وبين اللبنانيين، مشيرةً إلى أن حملات التضليل، أيّاً تكن الجهات التي تقف خلفها، لن تؤثر في تماسك المؤسسة العسكرية أو في قيامها بواجباتها، ولن تثنيها عن مواصلة تنفيذ مهماتها للحفاظ على أمن لبنان واستقراره.
ودعت قيادة الجيش الجميع إلى تحمل مسؤولياتهم الوطنية، وعدم الانجرار وراء الشائعات أو المساهمة في ترويجها، والعودة إلى المصادر الرسمية للجيش فيما يتعلق بالمؤسسة العسكرية وقيادتها.
وكانت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية «كان» قد نقلت عن مسؤولين أمريكيين، أمس، قولهم إن ضبّاطاً في الجيش اللبناني أعربوا عن معارضتهم لانسحاب القوات الإسرائيلية من جنوب لبنان في الوقت الحالي؛ بسبب مخاوفهم من عودة حزب الله إلى المنطقة بمجرد الانسحاب، مما قد يعيد إشعال التوتر ويعرقل جهود الاستقرار.
The Lebanese army accused Israeli media today (Wednesday) of targeting military institutions and their leaders by spreading rumors, confirming that the goal is to undermine trust with the Lebanese people.
The Lebanese army stated in posts on its account on "X": Recently, there have been claims attributed to hostile Israeli media regarding positions related to the army and its missions in the south, along with other fabricated news.
The leadership of the Lebanese army affirmed that the members of the institution are committed to its directives and the tasks assigned to them, performing their duties based on their belief in their national responsibility to defend Lebanon's sovereignty, security, and stability, away from any other calculations or considerations.
The leadership indicated that it enjoys the trust of brotherly and friendly countries, which continue to support the army, believing in the importance of its role, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances and challenges facing Lebanon.
It added: The timing of the launch and promotion of these rumors, during a very delicate and sensitive phase, reveals the seriousness of attempts to target the army and its leadership and to sow doubt within the institution and undermine trust between it and the Lebanese people, noting that disinformation campaigns, regardless of the parties behind them, will not affect the cohesion of the military institution or its ability to carry out its duties, nor will they deter it from continuing to execute its missions to maintain Lebanon's security and stability.
The army leadership called on everyone to bear their national responsibilities, not to be drawn into rumors or contribute to their promotion, and to refer back to the official sources of the army regarding the military institution and its leadership.
Israeli broadcasting authority "Kan" reported yesterday that American officials said that officers in the Lebanese army expressed their opposition to the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon at this time due to their fears of Hezbollah returning to the area as soon as the withdrawal occurs, which could reignite tensions and hinder stabilization efforts.
