حدد مبعوث الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، جاريد كوشنر، اليوم (الإثنين)، الفترة الزمنية لتسليم أسلحة حركة حماس في قطاع غزة، موضحاً أنها قد تبدأ خلال 30 يوماً، مع إمكانية إحراز تقدم في ردم بعض الأنفاق خلال فترة تراوح بين 60 و90 يوماً.
وأوضح كوشنر لشبكة «فوكس نيوز»، أن تحقيق الفترة الزمنية يتطلب تعاون الحركة وإسرائيل، مبيناً أنه عقد اجتماعاً مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو وفريقه لنحو 4 ساعات وناقش تفاصيل خطة مجلس السلام بشأن غزة، إلى جانب المخاوف التي أثارها الجانب الإسرائيلي.
وفي ما يتعلق برفض نتنياهو السابق خارطة طريق مجلس السلام، قال كوشنر: «موقف رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي استند إلى فهمه الأولي للخطة عند تسلمها»، مضيفاً: الجانب الإسرائيلي أثار خلال الاجتماع مخاوف وجيهة تمكن فريقه من معالجتها، كما ناقش الطرفان سوء الفهم والمعلومات المغلوطة المتداولة بشأن الخطة.
ووصف الاجتماع مع نتنياهو بالجيد جداً، مبيناً أن الولايات المتحدة ومجلس السلام ملتزمان بإعادة إعمار غزة، لكنهما لن يسمحا ببدء الإعمار قبل تجريد القطاع من السلاح.
وأضاف: «لا أحد يريد ضخ مزيد من الأموال في مكان عانى طويلاً، إذا كان سيقع مجدداً تحت سيطرة الإرهابيين أو يتعرض للتدمير مرة أخرى»، مبيناً أن تقدماً قد يبدأ بالظهور خلال 30 يوماً عبر إخراج بعض الأسلحة، مع إمكان بدء ردم بعض الأنفاق خلال فترة تراوح بين 60 و90 يوماً.
ولفت إلى أن تخلي «حماس» طوعاً عن أسلحتها وأنفاقها خلال فترة تراوح بين 60 و90 يوماً سيزيل تهديداً أمنياً كبيراً لإسرائيل وسيكون إنجازاً يكاد لا يُصدق.
وحذر من أنه إذا لم تنفذ الحركة التزامها، فسيتضح للجميع، أن «حماس» ليست جادة بشأن السلام، وستحصل إسرائيل على دعم أكبر من الولايات المتحدة وأطراف أخرى لإنهاء المهمة بالطريقة المناسبة.
وحول اجتماعه مع وفد «حماس» في القاهرة، قال كوشنر إنهم قدموا المواقف المطلوبة، لكنه أقر بـ«صعوبة الثقة في الحركة»، واصفاً الاجتماع بـ«الودي للغاية».
وأضاف: وفد «حماس» قالوا كل الأمور الصحيحة، ولذلك سنمنحهم فرصة للتنفيذ، لكن الأمر يجب أن يستند إلى الأفعال والخطوات.
U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy, Jared Kushner, specified today (Monday) the timeline for the surrender of weapons by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, indicating that it could begin within 30 days, with the possibility of progress in filling some tunnels within a period ranging from 60 to 90 days.
Kushner explained to Fox News that achieving this timeline requires cooperation from both Hamas and Israel, noting that he held a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his team for about 4 hours, discussing the details of the Peace Council's plan regarding Gaza, along with concerns raised by the Israeli side.
Regarding Netanyahu's previous rejection of the Peace Council's roadmap, Kushner said: "The Israeli Prime Minister's position was based on his initial understanding of the plan when it was received," adding that the Israeli side raised legitimate concerns during the meeting that his team was able to address, and both parties discussed the misunderstandings and misinformation circulating about the plan.
Kushner described the meeting with Netanyahu as very good, indicating that the United States and the Peace Council are committed to the reconstruction of Gaza, but they will not allow reconstruction to begin before disarming the region.
He added: "No one wants to pump more money into a place that has suffered for so long if it will again fall under the control of terrorists or be destroyed once more," noting that progress could begin to appear within 30 days through the removal of some weapons, with the possibility of starting to fill some tunnels within a period ranging from 60 to 90 days.
He pointed out that Hamas's voluntary relinquishment of its weapons and tunnels within a period ranging from 60 to 90 days would eliminate a significant security threat to Israel and would be an almost unbelievable achievement.
He warned that if the movement does not fulfill its commitment, it will become clear to everyone that "Hamas" is not serious about peace, and Israel will gain greater support from the United States and other parties to complete the mission in the appropriate manner.
