أعلن المتحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع الكويتية، العقيد الركن سعود عبدالعزيز العطوان اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إصابة أربعة من منتسبي القوات المسلحة في الهجوم الصاروخي الإيراني على البلاد.
وقال العطوان في بيان: «القوات المسلحة رصدت، منذ مساء اليوم وحتى الآن، صاروخاً باليستياً، وخمسة صواريخ جوالة، و33 طائرة مسيّرة معادية، وقد تم اعتراضها والتعامل معها».
وأشار إلى أن الهجوم الإيراني الآثم أسفر عن استهداف عدد من المنشآت الحيوية والمدنية، وسقوط شظايا في عدد من المواقع بالبلاد، ما أدى إلى وقوع أضرار مادية، مبيناً أن الهجوم استهدف إحدى القطع البحرية التابعة للقوة البحرية الكويتية، وأصيب على إثر ذلك أربعة من منتسبيها ويتلقون الرعاية الطبية والعلاج اللازم، وحالتهم مستقرة.
وأكدت القوات المسلحة الكويتية استمرارها في أداء مهامها وواجباتها بكفاءة، في إطار الجاهزية المستمرة والاستعداد الدائم، بما يعزز أمن الوطن ويحفظ سلامة المواطنين والمقيمين.
وأفاد بيان وزارة الدفاع الكويتية أن عدد الصواريخ الباليستية الإيرانية التي تصدت لها ارتفع إلى 287 صاروخاً، و949 مسيّرة، و21 صاروخاً جوالاً.
وكانت الكويت قد أعلنت في وقت سابق تصدي الدفاعات الجوية لهجمات صاروخية وطائرات مسيّرة معادية.
وذكر الجيش الكويتي في بيان: «تنوه رئاسة الأركان العامة للجيش إلى أن أصوات الانفجارات إن سُمعت فهي نتيجة اعتراض منظومات الدفاع الجوي للهجمات المعادية»، مطالباً الجميع بالتقيد بتعليمات الأمن والسلامة الصادرة عن الجهات المختصة.
The spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Rakan Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaweel, announced today (Tuesday) that four members of the armed forces were injured in the Iranian missile attack on the country.
Al-Otaweel stated in a statement: "The armed forces have detected, since this evening until now, one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 hostile drones, all of which have been intercepted and dealt with."
He pointed out that the malicious Iranian attack resulted in targeting several vital and civilian facilities, with debris falling in various locations across the country, causing material damage. He indicated that the attack targeted one of the naval vessels belonging to the Kuwaiti naval force, resulting in injuries to four of its personnel, who are receiving necessary medical care and treatment, and their condition is stable.
The Kuwaiti armed forces confirmed their continued performance of their duties and responsibilities efficiently, within the framework of ongoing readiness and constant preparedness, to enhance the security of the homeland and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
The statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense indicated that the number of Iranian ballistic missiles intercepted has risen to 287, along with 949 drones and 21 cruise missiles.
Kuwait had previously announced the interception of missile attacks and hostile drones by its air defenses.
The Kuwaiti army stated in a statement: "The General Staff of the Army notes that if explosion sounds are heard, they are the result of the air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks," urging everyone to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
