أعرب مجلس الوزراء الكويتي اليوم (الثلاثاء) عن إدانته واستنكاره للعدوان الذي تشنه إيران والفصائل الموالية لها في العراق على دولة الكويت، من خلال الاعتداءات التي استهدفت عدداً من المراكز الحدودية ومنصة حفر بحرية تابعة لشركة نفط الكويت، ما أسفر عن وقوع إصابات بشرية وخسائر مادية.
وأكد المجلس الذي عقد برئاسة رئيس الوزراء الشيخ أحمد عبدالله الأحمد الصباح أن استمرار العدوان الذي تشنه إيران ووكلاؤها في العراق هو انتهاك لسيادة دولة الكويت وتهديد لأمن وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين على أرضها، وتحدٍ للشرعية الدولية وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم (2817) لعام 2026، وتقويض للجهود الإقليمية والدولية الرامية لتحقيق أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
وشدد المجلس على حق دولة الكويت في اتخاذ ما تراه مناسباً من إجراءات لصَون سيادتها والحفاظ على أمنها واستقرارها، وذلك وفقاً لأحكام القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة.
وأعرب مجلس الوزراء الكويتي عن إدانته للاعتداءات التي تستهدف القنصلية العامة لدولة الكويت في مدينة البصرة، في انتهاك لحرمة القنصلية وتقويض لجهود الحكومة العراقية الرامية للوفاء بالتزاماتها الدولية المنصوص عليها في اتفاقية فيينا للعلاقات القنصلية (1963)، لا سيما المادة (31) التي تلزم الدولة المضيفة باتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لضمان الحماية الكاملة لمقار البعثات القنصلية. ورغم الجهود المبذولة من الحكومة العراقية لمحاولة التصدي لهذه الاعتداءات، فإن مجلس الوزراء يؤكد على ضرورة اتخاذ الحكومة العراقية إجراءات فورية وحاسمة لمحاسبة المتورطين وضمان عدم تكرارها.
وفي سياق متصل، أعرب مجلس الوزراء عن إدانته للاعتداءات الإيرانية التي استهدفت مملكة البحرين وسلطنة عمان ودولة قطر والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، في تصعيد وانتهاك لسيادة هذه الدول وسلامة أراضيها. وأكد المجلس تضامن دولة الكويت التام مع الدول الشقيقة ودعمها للإجراءات التي تتخذها لصَون أمنها واستقرارها وحماية سيادتها، مشدداً على أن استمرار هذه الممارسات يهدد أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
وجددت الكويت مطالبتها لإيران بالكف عنها واحترام سيادة الدول وحل الخلافات بالوسائل السلمية.
كما أعرب مجلس الوزراء عن إدانته للاعتداء الإيراني الذي استهدف ناقلتي نفط إماراتيتين أثناء عبورهما مضيق هرمز، ما أسفر عن مقتل أحد أفراد الطاقم وإصابة عدد آخر، في انتهاك للقانون الدولي وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم (2817)، وتهديد لأمن الملاحة البحرية وإمدادات الطاقة العالمية. وأكد وقوف دولة الكويت إلى جانب دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة وتأييدها لإجراءاتها في حماية أمنها.
من جانب آخر، أعرب مجلس الوزراء عن إدانته للاعتداءات التي شنتها مليشيا الحوثي باستخدام الصواريخ الباليستية مستهدفة المنطقة الجنوبية في المملكة العربية السعودية، في انتهاك لسيادة المملكة وسلامة أراضيها. وأكد تضامن دولة الكويت مع المملكة العربية السعودية ووقوفها إلى جانبها ودعمها للإجراءات التي تتخذها لصَون سيادتها وحماية شعبها.
كما أعرب مجلس الوزراء عن إدانته للاستهداف الإيراني لناقلة سعودية أثناء عبورها مضيق هرمز، وما يمثله من انتهاك للقانون الدولي وتهديد لأمن الملاحة البحرية واستقرار إمدادات الطاقة العالمية، وجدد المجلس تأكيد موقف دولة الكويت الداعم لأمن المملكة العربية السعودية ورفضها لأي اعتداء يمس أمنها.
The Kuwaiti Cabinet expressed today (Tuesday) its condemnation and denunciation of the aggression being waged by Iran and its affiliated factions in Iraq against the State of Kuwait, through attacks targeting a number of border centers and an offshore drilling platform belonging to Kuwait Oil Company, resulting in human injuries and material losses.
The council, which convened under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, affirmed that the continuation of the aggression by Iran and its proxies in Iraq is a violation of the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait and a threat to the security and safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, as well as a challenge to international legitimacy and Security Council Resolution No. (2817) of 2026, undermining regional and international efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.
The council emphasized the right of the State of Kuwait to take whatever measures it deems appropriate to preserve its sovereignty and maintain its security and stability, in accordance with the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Kuwaiti Cabinet expressed its condemnation of the attacks targeting the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in the city of Basra, in violation of the sanctity of the consulate and undermining the efforts of the Iraqi government to fulfill its international obligations as stipulated in the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (1963), particularly Article (31), which obliges the host state to take necessary measures to ensure the full protection of consular mission premises. Despite the efforts made by the Iraqi government to try to address these attacks, the Cabinet emphasizes the necessity for the Iraqi government to take immediate and decisive actions to hold those involved accountable and ensure that such incidents do not recur.
In a related context, the Cabinet expressed its condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in an escalation and violation of the sovereignty of these countries and the integrity of their territories. The council affirmed the complete solidarity of the State of Kuwait with its brotherly countries and its support for the measures they take to preserve their security and stability and protect their sovereignty, stressing that the continuation of these practices threatens the security and stability of the region.
Kuwait reiterated its demand for Iran to cease such actions and respect the sovereignty of nations and resolve disputes through peaceful means.
The Cabinet also expressed its condemnation of the Iranian attack that targeted two Emirati oil tankers while they were transiting the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in the death of one crew member and injuries to several others, in violation of international law and Security Council Resolution No. (2817), and posing a threat to maritime navigation and global energy supplies. Kuwait affirmed its support for the United Arab Emirates and its backing of its measures to protect its security.
On another note, the Cabinet condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia using ballistic missiles targeting the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in violation of the kingdom's sovereignty and territorial integrity. It affirmed the solidarity of the State of Kuwait with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for the measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty and protect its people.
The Cabinet also condemned the Iranian targeting of a Saudi tanker while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz, which represents a violation of international law and a threat to maritime navigation and the stability of global energy supplies, reiterating Kuwait's supportive stance for the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its rejection of any aggression that affects its security.
