تُوفي رئيس الوزراء السابق في كوريا الجنوبية لي هيه تشان اليوم عن عمر يناهز 73 عاماً، أثناء زيارته إلى فيتنام في رحلة عمل.
وتُوفي لي، الذي كان يشغل منصب نائب الرئيس الأول للمجلس الاستشاري للتوحيد السلمي، في مستشفى بمدينة هو تشي منه حوالى الساعة 2:48 بعد الظهر (بالتوقيت المحلي) بعد إصابته بسكتة قلبية، وفقاً لمسؤولي المجلس الاستشاري للتوحيد السلمي.
وأعلن المجلس الاستشاري للتوحيد السلمي أن جثمان لي سينقل إلى كوريا الجنوبية مساء غدٍ (الإثنين) ليصل إلى مطار إنتشون الدولي، غرب سيؤول، فجر الثلاثاء.
وشغل لي منصب رئيس الوزراء خلال إدارة روه مو هيون من 2004 إلى 2026، وعُيّن نائباً أول لرئيس المجلس الاستشاري للتوحيد السلمي في أكتوبر من العام الماضي.
Former South Korean Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan passed away today at the age of 73 while visiting Vietnam on a business trip.
Lee, who served as the first vice president of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, died at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City around 2:48 PM (local time) after suffering a heart attack, according to officials from the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council.
The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council announced that Lee's body will be transported to South Korea tomorrow evening (Monday) to arrive at Incheon International Airport, west of Seoul, early Tuesday morning.
Lee served as Prime Minister during Roh Moo-hyun's administration from 2004 to 2006 and was appointed as the first vice president of the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council in October of last year.
